I wasn't sure where exactly to post this, but I've been plagued by a bug that happens in RTTS but doesn't happen with any other mode, which I thought was strange. It might happen in player-locked fielding moments, but I don't know for sure. It doesn't happen in conquest games for example, I assume it happens with RTTS and other player-locked modes.

Got a SS for the Tigers in RTTS. From the minors and now in the majors, I've had a fielding issue that makes zero sense. When a hard ground ball is hit in my direction, I move to the ball and press the button to pick it up. As this happens the game lags severely and all that happens is the ball hits the foot or rolls past me. This costs reaction skill progress and sometimes the game itself.

I figure, oh, it won't happen once my player's fielding/reaction/etc. gets better, but those skills have increased and have not stopped the bug. It's really infuriating. (I've checked my internet and its working fine). If this could be brought to SDS's attention, that would be great, because I would like to see this bug addressed.

Has anyone else experienced heavy lag on hard grounders that prevents you from fielding properly?

What do you mean by “press the button to pick it up”? Do you have some weird analog button mapping scheme that requires you to press a button for your fielder to pick up the ball?

Yeah, I either press triangle or square to throw to second or first base, respectively. It's not an analog control scheme, it's just the buttons.

It appears you are preparing your throws either too early or late. If you don't have enough time to ready the throw before the fielder gets to the ball then maybe best to wait until the fielder has control of the ball before pressing the throw button.

I do have trouble pressing the button sometimes, yeah. But the main cause of my troubles is that the game lags a lot on hard ground balls and the game does not register any input from the controller at all. By lagging I mean the game drops several frames per second and is really jumpy, but it only happens when a hard ground ball is hit in my direction, and it acts fine on other plays.
