At least the RNG would be on my side then. I'm so tired of these terrible players asking for friendly quits before the first pitch and then catching every break imaginable.

Early swing with the bases loaded and two outs? Bases clearing double on a flyball that lands in the gap

Chase a fastball at your chin? Home run of course!

Throw a high inside fastball that my FotF Killebrew puts right in the middle of the PCI with good timing? Sub 90mph exit velo for a routine flyout. Duh!

I beat pitching_rebel earlier this year but can't beat a shmuck who's barely over .500. Ya, ok SDS...

Yeah but that’s in the early stages of the game. Just wait and suddenly in the mid - late stages you can magically hit again.

Happens to me all the time. I usually take a fat L against sub .500 opponents.

Which begs the question, if sub .500 people win "so" much, why are they still sub .500?

I am trash at this game and I still lose most of the time. Must’ve been your opponent luckiest day

Must play a lot of people that are sub 400 players

It was an events game and I definitely had the RNG on my side. But that's expected because my record was not nearly as good so the game had to even it out. Everything I hit hard was leaving the yard. He actually quit early in the 5th after he lined out haha

I didn't say they win so much, just that I take those fat L's against them. Not all the time to be honest but some games are just impossible to win no matter what.

I just wonder how much of that is going off memory though. Our memories are often unreliable and magnify issues that really aren't all that much an issue to begin with.

I'm not saying it's not true, it's just having data to go off of would make a better case for it. I might make a conscious effort to try and track that.

Though it gets muddled because anyone can win a 3 inning game, so that's not really an indication of what's going on, and I don't think I see that many sub .500 players in ranked.
