So tired of hearing people complain about perfect perfect outs. No one ever stated that perfect perfect contact would result in hits. It’s just a fancy way to say you had really good timing at the point of contact. As I said so what!!! Everyday real baseball players (not video game fanboys) hit perfectly timed balls into outs all the time, or have homeruns stolen by great catches or hit into double plays on balls with exit velocities in excess of 100 mph. It’s baseball and s h i t happens. It’s really annoying the amount of people on this forum that complain about this issue. I get irritated when my perfect perfect contact doesn’t have positive results but than I remember that it’s a game that is simulating the real thing and I’m good. When you complain about this stuff it make you sound like a pretentious whiner. Rant over

Should a pitch in the center of the pci register as good/good and be a ground ball double play tho? That’s one of my biggest issues. I feel that if it’s squared up perfectly it should be a line drive

Hardest hit ball of 2019 was a double play to 2nd by Stanton.

That being said perfect perfect flyballs should be homeruns 9 times outta 10 with 100+ power guys. I hit a perfect perfect flyout to the track with Hornsby the other day.(at Dale Palm, no deeper than 400 anywhere) How does that make sense?

Lol gives me joy to see my Hornsby isn't the only one getting screwed on perfect-perfects.

Hit a perfect/perfect with Ruth on a ball right down the middle in a Conquest game last week (which usually seems to play with less bs than Moments or Showdown)...barely made the warning track in Yankee stadium...I was like wtf?? In one of the early Showdowns (can’t remember which) I hit a perfect/perfect with Trout that resulted in a triple play. I was somewhat less happy in that moment I can tell you haha.

One event game today Against a righty Mantle P/P line drive for a single, Ruth P/P high sinker liner directly at 3B for and out, and Jackie P/P liner for a single. They all can’t be hr’s. We all know the game kinda sucks online it’s our choice to continue to play it.

I have played the least amount online ever this year because it’s not that fun. I’m still having fun playing the cpu and the content has been great.

Welllll sds did say at the beginning of the year that any batter with 80+ power a perfect/perfect would be guranteed a home run, so yeah they did state this haha

I don’t remember them saying that, I remember them saying that in their closed betas that p/p resulted in a positive result approximately 80% of the time and I also remember them saying that you can expect to homer on a p/p flyball with 80 plus power. That’s not a statement of guarantee that’s a statement of relativity which makes a big difference. SDS would not be very smart to make guarantees of any sort. I’m sure that you’ll find that .800 plus stat is probably pretty accurate if you tally every p/p hit by every gamer that has ever happened in this game. And yes I’ve had p/p flyballs not go out but it’s not often. And certainly not enough for me to complain about it incessantly just because it happened to me once or twice. Not going to lie, most of those complaining aren’t your top performers.

I agree! Its a video game! Nothing is perfect! And a perfect oerfect hit in real baseball goes right at people all the time! And in real baseball there is shitty hits all the time that fall in! People should be pissed off with how bad pitching is this year! It's so easy to hang pitches! Curveballs and change ups are so bad! Control is ruff! Base running screws up here and there . Defense has been better , but still issues !

ok fanboy. If you combine showdown, all h2h, moments, and MTO then NOBODY is hitting anywhere near .800 on perfect/perfects.

I hate when people complain about people complaining.

No they didn’t bud the said you could expect to homer on p/p flyball. That is far from a guarantee. Go watch the stream again it’s still up on twitch.

Awh i am guessing you never actually played or actually watch the games. The perfect perfect in real life is always hit hard and takes skill to do which leads to way more hits for someone who can do it. In this game however, if you get a good/good or perfect/perfect then its a toss up whether your skill will be rewarded. The early and late timing in this game makes the game unplayable on a skill base. You could literally have games in which your opponent has 0 good/good or perfect/perfects and still have 4 early taters and 3 late hits and you as player could be receiving 0 hits for the your skill. Skill should matter and it doesn't in this game in a lot of games.

I remember them saying the 80 power threshhold would be a homerun with a pp flyball...but they also patched out about a month in...

Awwwe you might want to compare universal profiles before you make silly comments like that. Something tells me that I’m a more skilled player than you and I’m not sitting here crying when I’m robbed. I move on. And IRL barreled balls are robbed on a nightly basis across the Mlb spectrum. Comments like this have zero credibility. Have good day!

SDS did say that PP fly with 80 threshold would be no doubt, that lasted until the first patch.

They also said PP would result in max exit velocity for the player, that was also a lie, i have seen sub 100mph exit velocity with high power cards.

I agree 100% that PP should not be a hit every time, and if exit velocity is low or launch angle is low that it shouldn't be a HR. But PP is not working the way it was told to us.

So you might want to read what i said.. Yes barrelled balls are robbed on a nightly basis but those barrelled balls get rewarded more than naught which is where the skill comes in. The game only skill gap is the timing and placement of the pci so that should be rewarded much more than early and late. It's not in lots of game.. btw saying your better than someone isn't an actual argument.
