Is it me or are the devs way off on some of their updates? Merrifield is still a diamond with a .799 ops and 115 ops+, Marte goes diamond with .845 ops and 126+, Ketel Marte is still diamond with .731 ops and 99 ops+ (below league average).... I can keep going.
Then you have Corey Seager with a .956 ops and 155 ops+, Tim Anderson with a .951 ops and 151 ops+, Paul Goldschmidt with a .995 ops and 174 ops+ and so on still at gold, because they have a formula. I would love to see Ruairi look at some stat lines for the entire league rather than just a few and make adjustments accordingly rather than just doing popular picks. @Kyle_SDS -
3 year average. Although for pitchers it seems they don’t care about that as much. Also for Tim anderson in particular, his defense really holds him back

I do not disagree about Anderson, but to be at 81 still seems low. And for the 3 year average, Merrifield has not had an ops above .811, so I do not buy that there isn't bias when doing the updates.

Agreed, I have no idea how they determine who deserves a diamond upgrade and who doesn’t. It especially seems like they neglect relievers. Neither Hendriks or Kenley went diamond this week and they both got Relievers of the Month for August. I thought for sure they were locks to go diamond. Now I have to wait another 8 days to see if my investment pays off...

I'm not even worried about investment stuff, but that does help lol. I think that looking at stats objectively would be the best way to determine players ratings, but I do not believe that is the case.

They’re definitely not really following a 3 year average with how quick they are to upgrade/downgrade some cards this year. While others such as the ones mentioned by OP have been stuck at gold

I'm baffled Ryu hasn't moved. He's been excellent this year (10ks/9innings for example,) and has a nuts 3 year average, yet they won't touch him.

Because he is not a popular pick... I think some of their choices are completely subjective.

Absolutely this is why, it's the only explanation. Really unfortunate nonetheless.

Market trends seem to dictate who they bolster. Who saw Voit going after hitting a paltry .217 his last 7 games? Yet the best CP in baseball Liam Hendriks is still gold. Goldschmidt has a career high walk rate and career low strikeout rate and vision hasn't been touched.

OPS isn’t all that goes into it. Merrifield has led the league in hits the last 3 years. Plus attributes are weighted differently by position and 2B is the easiest to be diamond

I think its safe to take the ol’ three year avg argument and throw that out the window.

Yah some of them just don't make sense, Dominic Smith still a silver? Bo Bichette not diamond?

Bichette hasn’t played in two weeks. How do you expect him to be upgraded?

Goldy is getting totally screwed this year rating wise. He’s hitting almost .400.

When he was playing he was killing it, both the players i mentioned shouldve been upgraded a while ago, not necessarily this update is my point. Some guys get huge boosts for a couple games while some guys have been tearing it up all season and have gotten small incremental boosts.

They are just having fun this year, dont take it seriously. Definitely throwing out the 3 year thing and just kinda going up and down week from week. Its a weird, different season, let the attribute updates be the same.

The thing is, Anderson has been so much better this year defensively. I get if they want to keep his fielding rating low but he certainly should be getting a reaction and throw power boost.
Honestly, the last two years have been so crazy for TA7, I've never seen a player improve so quickly as a player.

I think you're right. He has made improvements to his defense and his offense is great.
