For whatever reason it feels as if they went to p2p servers this year. Previous years I never had in-game lag this severe. Were talking 15-19, 0 issues with lag or each game playing differently.

I somehow haven't had any disocnnects this year... wired connection... however lately I have gotten a lot of wins from people losing connection.. there is absolutely no reason someone should lose connection when hard wired unless their internet has a hiccup on all of their devices

Me either I believe it was the 16 fastball that made me get faster internet and a monitor. Its really just the game drops that get me. I hate getting a network error occurred

I was going to buy $100 worth if stuvs to finish off some TA exchanges. Thankfully I tried putting in Buy Orders with what I had first; as within the last 2 hours; I've bern kicked from the servers 10 times. And that only trying to place Buy Orders.

    I haven't even started a game.

I'm waiting to see who are the 3 bosses this next Inning. If none of them will make my team; I'm done for the year.

I can't understand how there are so many server errors, ecen with people leaving for Madden, still.

Heck, I played Madden most of the weekend (during their release date) and I NEVER got disconnected from their servers at all.

The servers are P2P!!! What kind of servers did you think they have? Please don’t say dedicated because thats a completely unreasonable assumption. That would cost way way way too much money for a game that pits 2 players against each other. It would also be a complete waste of bandwidth. DS are intended for hundreds of players to connect to in the same game like Battle Royale games and RPG’s. Do you know how much SDS would have to charge us for the initial game for those kinds of servers? You wouldn’t want to know.

How bout you stop trolling my posts and move the efff on. If you don’t have something of value to say than don’t say anything. I’m merely pointing out that the servers are P2P as they always have been. Like every other year. Not trying pick any fights. Just clarifying misinformation. If you have nothing to add than go away and read another post. Bye!!!!!

How else can you explain the egregious difference of 15-19 and 20? These are issues the game has never had with connectivity, even in OFM in 17, the game doesn't lag or play any differently game to game. 20 is an entirely different animal when it revolves around it.

So my question to you is, why does 20 Ranked Seasons change game to game when it didn't happen in the past? Why do events play differently than RS and not have this issue?

A question I'd really like to know the answer to.

I’m not arguing, I’m pointing out a fact. There has been no back and forth. Maybe he didn’t know that the servers were P2P. Now he does. Like I said go somewhere else if you don’t have anything of substance to offer and stop trolling my posts.

My guess is it has more to do with pandemic than anything else. Lack of available tech support to fix the problematic issues with the game and also I believe people home team glitching is happening way to often as well which is causing people who have no business hosting games as your game host (aka home team)

I had never had any myself, but a few weeks ago I switched from Shaw 600 internet to Telus 300 which is a serious downgrade and it’s all it needs to become nearly unplayable. I don’t ever lose internet connection, just to the show servers. After a 6 run comeback that DCed in the 9th I just decided it wasn’t worth it to play online anymore which is a real bummer.

I didn't even think about the pandemic being a potential issue. Hopefully with the Ps5 around the bend we see dedicated servers, The Show has had its own breakout the past few years and with the push to multiple platforms, no reason it doesn't happen imo.

Ded servers will never happen in this game because of the cost benefit ratio. It’s too expensive to use in a h2h type atmosphere. No sports game will ever get ded servers. It’s just not financially feasible.

Plus maintenance on those servers is a headache. Might end up with a worse problem than you had before

I had network issues for the first two months but went to a hardline connection and haven’t had them since. If anyone is getting booted multiple times a day they should troubleshoot their set up.
