Standard packs are pure trash. You forgot to mention the fake stadium we get in every pack. That being said, this game is easy to make stubs. Madden does have the 500 get a player pack, but every other pack is a guaranteed loss. The sets are made to ensure that you usually lose coins. Bottom line is packs for all these ultimate teams are a rip off.

Like I dont know what I would do without a picture of someone else's dog.

I’ve gotten WAY better pulls in Madden packs than Show packs and it’s not even close. I pull maybe 2 or 3 diamonds a year in Show packs. In Madden I might do that many in a week.

When aspect I definitely favor EA over sds is that madden doesn't put free agents in their packs which severely deflates their value in the show.
Even with Free Agents, I would take a regular pack vs a Madden Gold Pack any day and I would DEFINITELY take the time and ROI from a Conquest Map over a non-Seahawks Journeys program every time.

EA MVP baseball was definitely better than mlb the show especially animations wise,even after all these years; madden even with all the nuances is still a really fun gm,I don't spend any money on madden n still end up with a great team,I'm not into FiFA

Content is great but there are a lot of offline players who pay the money for the base game and are completely let down on game play year after year.
Aslo, I would add that I don't play online because of the horrible connection I always get. I think until SDS is able to completely fix online game play they should also offer more offline DD options! I thought the Ruth Program this year was great.
If they could fix the game play, make hitting more consistent and have more offline DD content, I wouldn't play anything else!

At least MVP Baseball had create a stadium/ballpark. It's 2020 and we cant get that in a game.
At least we 2 of each card in the game. Heck I think we have 3 types of cards for some players. "Content is so good"

I usually get Madden most years (skipped last year) but I can never get into MUT. This year, I'm "supposed to get it" so I can play an online franchise with some friends. I've never played an online franchise so I'm kind of excited about that, but I can't imagine Madden replacing The Show for Ultimate Team modes and what not.
I'm hoping that this is finally the year that they at least get the gameplay right. With actual owners running the teams in the online league, I at least won't have to worry about stupid transactions for the most part.

Lol ok yeah sure man, I would also definitely prefer 3 out of 4 free agent cards over say an actual gold card. Heck even the chance of pulling an elite card as way way higher in mut than getting a diamond in the show. Miles above and beyond. But you do you boo.

I will say "The Show" is the best baseball franchise video game I've ever played. However, for 2 years, EA Sports' "MVP Baseball 2003 and 2004" was a really good game, too!! The graphics were ahead of the time, especially for a Gamecube game.
I remember my only choice in the late 90s/early 2000s the only option was "All-Star Baseball." That was mediocre!

Content is nice but gameplay is the problem with this series. Unfortunately, this franchise will never be better than EA's MVP Baseball or SNES Ken Griffey Jr. baseball.
This game tries to be a SIM but can't even do simple things correct. Look at moments, in an AL game the pitchers are hitting.
Simple things like that is the shortcomings of this series.
So you’re comparing games from the early 90‘S to this game???? As far as games are concerned, this franchise is light years ahead of any other franchise. As with any highly complex video game there is going to be issues with multiple facets of the game that get patched through out the games life cycle. I look at your stats and see a person who is not all that good at the game complaining about the game and I shake my head. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, when an opinion is offered. However, making a statement like the franchise can’t even get the simple things correct is simply sour grapes. You don’t even offer up what you deem to be “simple” outside of pitchers hitting in AL moments. I’m not saying that their haven’t been issues with the game, ie fielding, catcher throwing animations, or even to a lesser extent some aspects of hitting. But the game does a pretty good job of addressing these problems and fixing them as these problems arise. It to me, just seems like it’s the weaker players in this game that are the loudest voices when it comes to these shortcomings. I have been playing this game for many years and the advancements that this game has made have been far and away the industry leading standard when I compare this to other sports franchises. Rather than complain about the shortcomings why don’t you focus on becoming a better player. Every single player has to deal with the same issues and the good players overcome those obstacles and in turn enjoy the experience more than those that spend all their time complaining about the gameplay itself. I’m not trying to be an ahole it’s just really tiring to read these posts that are complaining for the sake of complaining especially when the poster is acting in a condescending manner while replying to someone else’s post.
I am not a good player and I hardly complain, The game has issues, when I get to frustrated with the online issues I go grind or play something offline. This game offer so many different modes that you earn stubs,xp, cards, so on and so on. TA is great this year. Showdowns can be frustrating but even if you lose you still gain stubs and xp. Some people are just complainers.

Like many I will be leaving for Madden and Fifa soon. I wanted to say: SDS you do a much better job than EA. You actually give your customers content without trying to make them spend money. Keep up the good work SDS.
PS: Make a football and soccer game.
Would love if they could make a good football game. Maybe they could make a ncaa game
