August Lightning Player question...

I just read in the "Monthly Flashbacks" collection section for "July & August" that you need to collect 24 Monthly Awards and Topps Now cards to unlock the "August Lightning Monthly Award Player".
Does this mean SDS won't release the August player program the same as previous months where we grind out to 100 program stars to unlock the player??

Don’t know bud this is the first time they did programs like this. In years past you had to collect a certain amount of both so it sounds like it’s going back to the old way. Probably collect them through packs and moments and market

That is how i am interpreting it as well. As k9ng as they are the monthly cards we already have, it wont be a big deal.
I really like how they have done them this year, compared to the cash grab method they have done in the past.

At least with the Topps now packs, we've really only had to buy 1 card so far. If it stays like that, that's a win in my book. Pack of 3, let us choose 2. A lot better than limited number of packs and you pull the same 5 low tier card every time so you gotta buy ALL the rest.
