Pickoffs is broken

If they are taking a huge huge lead, and by that I mean multiple steps, they are trying to make you go instantly to red on the throw meter when you pickoff, so I just stepoff instead.
If you just mean trying to pick off a normal one-step lead, I haven't had any issues throwing out runners, I don't remember the last time I threw it away.

I do not throw it away ever, i come all the way set before I throw over to.

Yes I know exactly what you mean. I’ll press the pickoff move and the runner takes off and I throw it away

Had a guy trolling me with this yesterday. He scored a run because I wasn't prepared for the mechanic. After that I started just hitting his batters and then I was picking him off and getting outs. His 1 run still one the event matchup, but it was satisfying to shut his nonsense down.

I would say that too but considering that the pitcher does not get a throw meter like the catcher while throwing to bases this is a small issue in the game.

Yes I have gotten many successful pick offs, it’s not all of them that are errors. There are times though that the pitcher gets a red throw and it cannot be controlled because a meter does not show up.

A pitcher throwing it away on a pickoff or a wild pitch is only one base so that's correct but the red throw is a glitch as far as I know. To combat it you can step off with L1 and then either force them back to the base or get them in a run down

I also found that if you're fast enough you can cancel the throw, but that's a risky option.

Yeah, I was thinking a step off would be best, if it is a consistent issue.

Step off is the only way to go. But this is clearly a bug that needs fixed. There is an issue with the throwing meter with a normal pickoff throw that shouldn’t exist.

Honestly, this has been an issue for years, and I’m not sure why it’s not talked about more.

Because people believe that it’s user error when it’s clearly uncontrollable by the user.

I only throw over maybe 2 or 3 times a game and haven’t made a error

I brought this up a few days ago and didn't get a bit of help or even any responses about the issue, but now everyone seems to know what I was talking about. lol sweet.
