6th inning boss insight for someone late to the party.

Musial is clearly the best bat by a long way. If you want a hitter it’s a no brainer. Rollins is a 5 tool SS, but it’s not like we don’t have any good SS available and I didn’t like his lower tier diamond at all. I want to take Maddux myself, because I love the 90s guys, but I’m concerned about his lack of velocity. I’m also quite happy with my rotation and I don’t even use Newhouser or Kluber. It’s a tough one, mostly because I don’t really like Musial or Rollins that much.

Very good summary. I've had all 3 for a few days now. Musial is amazing to hit with. Haven't been hurt by his defense at 1st yet. Rollins has been ok for me so far. 5 tool as mentioned abovr. No diversity with positions though. I grew up idolizing Maddux and pretended to be him. Huge Braves fan but my only outing so far he got roughed up on All Star. Not sure see HOF but i enjoy pitching with him because it brings back great memories.

Problem is, if I sell the pick from this inning, who do I buy? I’m not really in desperate need of anyone except bullpen arms and they’re super expensive rn. I’m probably gonna take Maddux, drop Paxton and just hope for the best. He does have nasty speed differentials, but my experience is you need to have 96mph+ in your back pocket this year.

Musial overtakes Thames at the best 1b in the game. Rollins is a 5 tool switch hitting shortstop but cap is better if youre not using it somewhere else. Prestige helps that card a lot. Maddux is end game finessee pitcher especially once prestiged as he gets 99 control on 4/5 pitches.
Everyone is BP on all star, maddux is elite 700+.
First base is stacked and we'll see honus in the next few innings Maddux is the only one I see staying on my team the whole game.

Honestly all good points.

Agreed. Thanks to all for their advice, insights and suggestions. I'll be getting the 300 program stars once I get my kids down for their naps and will probably go with Maddux, in part because of the suggestions and points made it this post.

Unfortunately the only time I'll probably be in HOF mode is in an event.

Anyone try Rollins from this year and Jose Reyes from last year? I had Honus but i really like Reyes.
-
Musial, put him at first and that's a position covered for the year
-
I can't stand Musial's swing but must be the only one. I've only used him in Showdown, however.
-
Ernie Banks or Jimmy Rollins? Another question Jimmy Rollins plays close to Jose Reyes 2019?

So far I like Reyes better. Judging from your icon I assume you made the CORRECT BOSS pick with Maddux.

I took Maddux.... I regret my decision.... i currently have buy orders on the other 2

If your in this position I would highly recommend nothing but outlier pitchers until you can possibly reach HOF. It’s kinda boring, but it’s truly a different game, in the lower ranks velocity is key and people really struggle with 102mph fastballs. In the higher ranks it’s still important, but people can kill a fastball up there, not so much before you reach HOF.
