Might as well! Commons are literally no risk. Although you do have to buy a [censored]-ton to make anything notable.
Side note: I do really like Gomes (that video you posted). I think he is my favorite The Show Youtuber.

You can buy commons at 5 stubs. If they go bronze you can sell them for 60-100. That’s multiplying your stubs by 10 at worst. You just have to buy enough of the guy. If they don't go bronze, you can quick sell for 5 each. Zero risk.
And if a common starts and plays well, there’s no reason he wouldn’t be upgraded. I would expect SDS to be extremely aggressive in their upgrades, especially for commons and bronzes.

Fisher hits the ball really hard and always has. The guy has some serious tools. The issue for him is putting the ball in play and I think that if he can cut down his strikeouts, he still has big potential.
