Hitting in Ranked Season

Yes, there’s a few threads about it recently. You’re not the only one, I have stopped ranked for the time being due to this! It sucks, but maybe grind something else for a bit til it goes away.

All Star is just really unplayable at this point. I dread having to play RS games on AS. No pitcher is good enough and hitting outcomes are completely random. You get rewarded more for missing with your PCI then you do for getting it on the ball. Never thought I’d say this but AS games seem harder to win than HOF/Legend games lol

Been actually using RS to work on some of these affinity stat missions like the original FOTF and FS ones. Just decided to not care about my record at all and use some of these players I'll never use otherwise. I have enough missions to work on (the online only missions, that is) that I can fill out a whole lineup of them. I certainly feel there are times I'm not rewarded, and it sucks, but I just look at it as I'm trying to finish out these online missions. Many times, it seems like the ball isn't going anywhere when I hit it, which sucks for these hitting missions. Oh well, I guess. I'm just doing it for the missions and I'll move on to something else once I get the stats I need.

What ranking is all star. I am stick between 450 and 600...hittng sucks.

Every year it seems that RS plays worse than Events, or anything. It's like there is always poor connection or something. Weird...

I mean I knew it has been bad pretty much all year but man after playing in this last event and coming back to RS it seems like it's the worst it has ever been. Gonna grind showdowns as monotonous as THAT is it is still better than a ranked game.

This has been discussed at lengths over the years. Events HOF and RS HOF do not play the same due to sliders being adjusted differently.
I would love RS to play like events but that would mean crazy unrealistic scores

I get that. But something is way off the last three days. I can’t buy a hit even with the ball middle PCI and good timing. Weak flys and grounders every time. I had just gotten a monitor and made WS. Was able to see every pitch now with my new set up. Now I’m getting surprised by pitches that I guess are coming..

I couldn’t even touch any fastballs last night. Everything over 95 looked like a pea

Past two nights I've had mostly success in RS. However, I faced a guy with the new Paxton card and couldn't touch his high fastball. No idea WTF that was about. Literally could not get to the top of the zone with the PCI. Some strange happenings in RS the past few days.

Same, bro. Same. I may take a break for a few days and grind out more missions. Servers aren't up to snuff as far as consistency goes. I don't expect to hit HR's on every perfect-perfect, but [censored] I'm getting some weird feedback on these lineups/pop-outs. The exit velo and the launch angle just don't match or make any sense with some of the results I'm getting.

Agree 100%. I played some pro ball in my day and saw “perfect-perfect” swings result in outs daily. So i don’t think they should always be a hit, but for the most part they should equal success. I’m getting good-good weak contact all game. Might do the same. Just to refresh and clear my slump haha!

RS is weird the last few days to a week for me. I been playing less and less ranked... But hey finished the Jackie program and a couple other player programs that i put off till now.. But yea games are wildly inconsistent on All star. I cant escape them. Get above 700 Still end up playing on All star and lose my way back down. This last week has had me thinking the game wants me to go outside or something.. Gross. Lol jokes

Idk when the difficulty changes in ranked seasons. They need to stagger the tiers better then they do now.
I play a ton of vs cpu on hof and legend. Then I go to ranked seasons and can’t hit to save my life on all star -
