im annoyed by this thread by the end of it. Lotta people who are complaining about stuff they can stop or practice for. They dont know what "cheese" tactics in video games really are. If its preventable its not cheese.

With how many posts there are about this kind of stuff you would think 75% of online games are players like this, and I’m guessing it scares some offline plays away from online. Fact is I might run into a player like this every 50 or so games. It is annoying, but it really doesn’t occur often enough to be a problem IMO

I think it’s the other way around. I can think of only 2 or 3 games I played in the last week where people weren’t trying to cheese. Once I hit 100 event wins, I was just hitting with my prestigable players and quitting. At least 90% of the people I played either cheesed high sinkers with Graterol or used Wright and threw nothing but knuckleballs.

Lol Mann... High sinkers and knuckleballs from common pitching is not cheese! Lololol knuckleballs actually suck now. And its 64 overall card on all star it is very easy to catch up to that sinker. What are you expecting? Fastballs down the middle?

Common players or not, throwing sinkers high is cheese because it’s a flaw in the game and not something that is done in real life. Yes, it was easier to hit in the event, but my bigger point is that cheesing is super common and I barely ever play a game against someone who is not doing it. In the ranked season game I just completed the POS was cheesing high sinkers with Hershiser.

Exactly. Its not a flawed pitch it gets rocked by me and my opponents all the time. Even at 101. You have the flaw at the plate i feel like.

I have hit every single type of pitch and pitcher in this event. Its not like RS where 102 sinker feels unhittable. Yes there are times i dont do well, but that is almost entirely because i am not hitting. I blasted Wright Knuckle balls and Brusdars sinker. I have actually been excited to see Adon come in, been lighting him up too, and everyone goes to him.

I'd say everything but baserunning and bunting is cheesy. But bunting and baserunning is part of baseball. At the end of the day I'm trying to beat you and your trying to beat me . Running bases and playing fundamentally sound are keys to getting a W . Take the bunting away and force them to hit . Not cheesy just cause ppl can't stop it .

I hate pitching against some people R2 pause r2 drag bunt. Steal steal r2 pause... like come the hell on guy. Play the game... I want to play people with a competitive mind, like I’m an average online player I’m not someone you need to cheese against...

I played a game last night against one of these kids. He bunts to get on base. Steals second and on a groundout scores from second because my fielders feel the need to take forever to throw to first and its a rainbow lob to make matters worse. So I was like ok kid you want to take advantage of the game your watching every homerun replay for the rest of the game. He quit after the 3rd homer.

Ok so again we can clarify you rock the easily hit-able high sinker. My stance would be that the pitch doesn’t exist and is impossible to throw. Curveballs don’t curve down to up, and if they start to, the fact you might be able to hit them won’t change the fact it’s an obvious game flaw.

I’ve only played one dude in ranked seasons like this. He tried to bunt cheese to get on every time. Entire lineup was 90+ speed guys. Beat him in extras and it was so satisfying to win a game like that. But seems every other person I’ve played in this event is bunt cheesing on with biggio, Jackie, Ellsbury and sandberg. They make me sit up in my chair a little but it hasn’t been so bad you’re right.
