Events would be a lot more fun if we didn’t get matched up with superior competition

What I find crazy is that all last event long I was facing prestige level players around 75% of the time. I must be out of the loop, but I have played a couple hours a day since launch and I am only gold 60ish.
Right -- but some people do to lockdowns played a ton more this year... Kids with no school not allowed to go out or adults that lost their job.

Lol, I'm silver 34. Tried a game last night to go after some Jackie stats (the ones you have to do online). I got lit up 7-0 against a prestige player.

This is like the second or third time you created a thread like this. I think it's very selfish to only view this from your own perspective; the event means nothing and is just a way to play laid back games for everyone. If you match up against someone who's superior to you, just quit and start another game. Eventually you'll find someone of equal skill and if not I would suggest to go practice.
Either way, the event is also the only (meaningless) place where world series players can match up with low tier guys and give them a good beatdown. Everybody loves handing out a good beatdown now and then. Just because you're on the other end, doesn't mean it needs change. If we wanna play similar skill sweaty games, we have Ranked Seasons for that.

Just quit and find a new match - the record means nothing. If you dont want a sweaty game and can tell your opponent is really good then just quit and find another.

Ya I just get frustrated with hitting in this game. I’ve played over 300 ranked games and maybe that’s part of the issue. I try to play too many games in one sitting that my hitting is worse for it. I love everything else about the game. I’ve watched YouTube constantly. Last year was the first year I’ve ever played baseball online. I’m better all the way around but I’m so inconsistent at the dish.

I actually prefer events over RS and BR this year. We all know the inconsistencies. So I play the events and don’t sweat it. If I lose, I lose. I’ve gotten pounded a couple times but also winning too. I’ve matched up against some good players but I look at it as good practice when the results really don’t matter. So if I get pounded, I sit back and relax and try to do my best. Losses don’t matter and I enjoy my time on the console more when I just relax and have fun. I grind out some innings, daily challenges and, hopefully, some prestige stats. I hope to win but don’t get bent out of shape if I lose, especially if the other player is simply better than me.
Of course, it STILL would be nice if it would save your event lineups after getting two losses.

Yes, but its a brief 3-inning grind for Prestige cards; I'll manage, but the 9 inning RS thing....fewer and farther between.
