I'd go Cole first. Cole also gets you Giambi and Alomar + stubs/XP for finishing AL East. Then see where you're at and grind for the rest. You could always try flipping cards as well to make profit.....

I don't think you read what I typed. Because I never said I would personally play someone over Mantle, there isn't an answer I can give you.

Its not just about Mantle... Look at the 2nd best closer in the game (Billy Wagner) as well as Sheffield, Gwynn and Biggio. Gwynn is my lead off b/c he always hits base hits. Plus whats even more important is all the XP you earn from doing the collections. You will probably level up 30 ranks or so just from the collections. They are totally worth it.

Actually you can use their lower rated cards to see if you can hit with them, I have Sheffield 99 and he’s okay batting .260 with 27 HR and 52 RBI - he’s getting replaced by Jose Ramirez in about 7000 XP as I’ll have the 99 version and that card will absolutely RAKE -

I struggle with Sheffield too. I did well with his lower card, but that was also against lower rated pitching when the game first dropped. If I ever get him prestiged, we will see if that helps.

I struggle with Sheffield too. I did well with his lower card, but that was also against lower rated pitching when the game first dropped. If I ever get him prestiged, we will see if that helps.
