Maybe the visuals of the monitor aren’t on par with the TV you were playing on before. Sometimes you do have to mess with the picture settings to get it to look right for that game.

You gotta stick with it I was playing pretty good on my tv last year and then I switched to a monitor and I didn’t play as well but this year I’m playing way better on the monitor then I did on tv the response time and pci movement is a little faster so it just takes some time to get used to but you’ll be better in the long run if you use the monitor over time

Look up the model number on the monitor to see the specs, you want to search for the input lag. A good monitor will be <1ms... Newer TVs are under 10ms. It's possible if it were an older monitor that it isn't much different than a newer TV.
Also, if input lag is fine you need to adjust your settings on the monitor and PS4. There's many resources for that. I play on TV so don't know the monitor settings.
