Don't pull down all the way on the stick. Only go far enought to start the meter. It should help a little with accuracy when you push the stick forward.

It'll take some time get used to so dont get discouraged if you don't get it right away. One thing that helps me: when moving the stick down, move it to the side in which you're going to push it up. For example, if I'm throwing a fastball up and in righty vs righty, I'll move the stick down towards the left

When you do this does it ever stop mid way and give you very early release or is that just my controller acting up?

That probably just means you are at the very edge of activating the meter down and any slight ease of the stick up will trigger the early release. So as soon as you hit the sweet spot to start the process try and go just slightly further to minimize any issues.

    Tips:

-You don't need to pull straight down then move up and to the side, you can pull back at an angle so you are flicking straight across to where you are aiming.

-Keep this in mind when pitching: early release causes ball to sail higher than target, late release causes ball to go lower than target, missing aim causes left-to-right off target... Use this to your advantage when pitching so you don't hang over the middle.

-The analog meter turns yellow, orange, red after a pitch is thrown indicating the pitch effort -- pitch effort is determined by how quickly you flick up.

-The first few days are going to be really rough and unenjoyable. Go in with the expectation it will be hard and there will be a learning curve, don't get upset, keep your head and focus and practice on what you are doing wrong. After a week you'll be solid, a couple weeks better, a month totally comfortable.

-Going from meter get used to the fact you won't be able to max out velocity every pitch like you did before. That's the part I hate most.
