Ranked Seasons with salary caps

Why is there no salary cap ranked seasons or tier based? For example
Division 1: no rating maximum
Division 2: 90 team overall maximum
Division 3: 85 team overall maximum
Division 4: 80 Team overall maximum
And so on...
-unlocks for reaching the World Series being a diamond option from the division above.I have just about every card in the game and would like to build different style teams to play with, instead of throwing out a 97 overall team every time. I find myself playing battle royale more than ranked seasons to avoid this.
This set up would actually allow the player to have a GM/Manager feel to the game and would solve everyone just facing Kluber, Hal, and Oswalt.

Because what's the point of buying/earning cards if you are restricted in the one mode that lets you use whoever you want?
Ranked seasons is the only online mode where you aren't restricted. Why would they change that?

I think this, if structured right, would be good. Instead of making it so u move from one to the next, just have it so you can play in whatever one you want. The 80 Ovr has lower rewards, the 85 gets a little better, the 90 gets a little better, and the unlimited is the best, or what we have now. Obviously you can still take a 80 Ovr into any of these, you just won’t be going up against the same teams

This is kinda what events and BR cater to. Build a team with this (Blank) limitation or build a squad out of these options. This might not be a bad idea for a challenge mode of some kind for more relaxed play/events style where you have to build teams under 90/80/70 overall (anything more than 90 is no different than RS) and get rewards for number of wins in each tier

This is genuinely the dumbest idea mentioned this year... It's been mentioned before but you are the first this year. DD RS isn't and never will be about limited teams. It's about survival of the fittest and fielding the best team you can buy/earn. I'm not interested in playing with caps/budgets or any of that BS.
How about you set yourself a salary cap?

Conceptually it’s a great idea, but in practice all it leads to is a new set of best cards across each tier where everyone knows about Odor and Bummer and they just fill in for whatever the glitchiest card is at each level to make it under the cap. If anything, there’d be less lineup diversity.

A better solution would be a passive rating mod on ranked. Imagine using a lesser rated team that rewards more ranking points for wins and penalizes less points for losses. Nothing changes when using a normal stacked squad as matchmaking would still be based purely on rank, and the normal amount of points won or lost would remain intact.
This would give incentive to use lesser rated cards and thus we would all see more variety in opposing lineups. Not to mention making it faster to make WS if you're that skilled at the game.

Salary cap or overall restrictions in a team building mode is dumb. Regulars is where you can play with lower teams.

No thanks, ranked is literally the only online mode that you get to use every player you've earned, why would you take that away?

Play BR/Events or Custom leagues instead if you want stuff like this.
