Batter not running to 1st

Has anyone ever seen this?
I was in a RS game with bases loaded, 1 out. Batter hits a slow chopper to third, his 3B fields it and throws home for the out. I figure I get one more shot bc my batter had some speed but he throws to first and to my amazement I am called out with my batter-runner nowhere in sight. I checked the replay and he froze 1/4 of the way down the line.
I think I remember something like this happening in showdown a while ago but it didn’t matter. In that case, he never left the box. Weird stuff.

I had it on a line drive that bounced off the 3b glove. The ball went into the four territory. I threw the ball around the infield and eventually made the out at first while his guy just stood at home plate. Sent sds a ticket order.
