Hitting speed

So I'm a decent player, I make world series pretty much every season so I'm pretty familiar with the pitch speeds. Someone tell me if I'm the only one but is it just me sometimes but because of connection or whatever it is online the pitch speeds vary. It seems one game a hundred mile an hour fastball is hittable with ease but the 90 on hall of fame is stupid fast or even or all-star. Each game it seems the pitch speeds vary and or even the pitch dont break the same or lag. Please let me know if you have had the same problems

Yes, I’ve had the same problem. Everyone I speak to who plays the game on PSN has the same problem. There’s also the issue of desync causing the game to show everything from pitch location, to catch indicator location to players tagging runners on bases in slightly different places to each player and when the game is failing to sync it up correctly, guess what? Only one player sees the game “correctly” (where correctly is deemed to be accurate as per what the game is attempting to display, the pitch can only be on one location according to the game, not multiple locations) which means the other player is quite baffled as to why they did everything perfectly on their end and the game said “No, sorry. You didn’t.” It’s the root of the majority of the issues with online play and you can test this quite easily for yourself by disconnecting your internet connection, playing any of the offline modes such as franchise and immediately witnessing a completely different game to what you’ve been used to playing in diamond dynasty.

Man I dont know about you but I dont always remember it being this bad I know 17 didnt have it neither 18 but 18 was a whole different animal of a [censored] show but I believe 19. I honestly hope that they almost write this year off and focus on next gen consoles. What a better way to silence your critics with a new, finished product with the new consoles instead of trying to fix old problems and having them continue onwards into the future

I don't know what was done to the hitting here in the last week or two, but it has been terrible. I've never had issues like this until recently. It's to the point where it isn't even fun to play the game anymore. I really hope they change something really soon, because if they don't, this game is going to get pushed to the wayside real fast.

Yep me too! It makes me not like to play online sometimes.

Noticed it as well and, consequently, have only played a handful of games online this year. The desync has been there for years and you can see it regularly in the replays - sometimes the replay will show completely different fielding animations than what you just witnessed.
I'm getting a lot more 'hitching' as well, even mid-pitch, which I've never really experienced prior to this year. I highly suspect it's an optimization/framerate issue that, when combined with lag, creates this situation where the ball is teleporting its way to the plate (ie. it's jumping). Also would explain why sinkers appear so much faster as, with their exaggerated break, the skipped frames result in the ball teleporting to a new location vertically as well as horizontally.

In your experience, does offline DD suffer from this desync as well? I don't know if I've ever played this game fully offline.
