I must say, I was so pumped for this Brian Roberts card, great switch hitting speedster at 2B.

After 86 PAs, I just absolutely hate him as much as I want to like him. I feel like he doesn't move at 90+ speed at all... His range seems poor in the field to me.

In 86 PA online I've struck out only 6 times with him, but I'm hitting. 232 AVG with a .574 OPS... Just abysmal.

Ball goes no where with him everything hangs up to the OF. Nothing falls in. And don't tell me it's lack of power because I'm hitting .347 AVG, .968 OPS with Ty Cobb in 309 PAs.

I don't know if i can go much longer with Roberts. Just dreadful disappointment. I was planning on taking Posey at Gold XP using Roberts instead of Sandberg but I might have to take Sandberg now. I was planning on Prestige Roberts but I can't auth him like this... Mondesi is better.

What has been your experience hitting with him?

Had mixed results with him at first. But with this recent event I've been focused on him, Mantle, Chipper and Victorino prestige paths and have gotten a ton of PA with him and have had great success. All be it on AS against mediocre pitchers. But I've got him over .400 and he's got sneak pop for me having walked off a couple games. He's a table setter for me ahead of Mantle and Chipper and I've almost got his runs scored prestige goal done. Victorino has been the disappointment for me.

Any card with less than 80 power in this game swings a pool noodle. It’s just the truth.

That's just flat out false. I'm slugging .603 with Ty Cobb in 309 PAs.

    Throwback diamond Mondesi rips too.

Roberts is the worst of the 3 for me. Obviously Chipper is a dawg but I think I am hitting like .340 with Victorino with like 4 home runs in 45 or so event games. The flyin Hawaiian is a singles machine but have definitely haven’t had good luck with Roberts

Roberts has been an unexpected treasure for me. Got him two weeks ago and in that time he is second on my team in homeruns behind only Mantle. Dude absolutely rakes the ball from both sides of the plate. Gets great jumps on steals too. I have been thrilled with him so far. Biggio has been moved permanently to the bench.

However, I truly think it’s all user preference. Some people just hit better with certain players than others do. Truly, Each person needs to try these players out for themselves & see how they do.
