First baseman off the bag, called out glitch

I have had this happen a bunch. I will hit it to short, or 3rd. They will throw to the the first baseman, who is way off the bag. He will be called out anyway. Is this common?

It's a client side lag. On your screen you didn't see it executed properly, but you were likely thrown out. Just like sometimes when you are pitching, your pitches seem to 'slow down' but when you're hitting pitches seem to come in smoothly (for the most part). The game must focus bandwidth towards making the active user's interface as smooth as possible and sacrifices some for the inactive user in the moment. AKA you running (inactive) vs. your opponent fielding (active)
