It used to mean you were getting your @$$ handed to you if your opponent had it.
Now it just means you're playing someone who's been there, and a lot of them just suck. I haven't played ranked since 21, but something tells me if I did this year, I would have one too....and I suck online.

I typically will let it land....but not when I aim a fastball that I intentionally release late to assure the ball goes in the dirt and you get a random pitch that teleports...Why should you be the only one rewarded for the way the game plays?
It's happened to me all year. If you can't beat em....join em'

I agree that a perfect-perfect should not be an automatic hit but, I share the frustration with OP. When you hit a ball over 100 mph your average in theory goes up. If your launch angle or the area in which the ball is hit in ballpark (where a fielder isn't covering) isn't right with a ball hit over 100 mph, it isn't going to be a hit. Shorten the walls and remove the fielders and you'd be correct.

Edit: This reminds me of a Rivercats (SF AAA) game we went to a couple of years ago. Brandon Belt was in rehab and playing 1B. He was in the batter's box right in front of us, and I pointed out a gap to my wife in left-center because the LF was playing toward the line and the CF was shaded to RF. When Belt came up to bat, they didn't move. Belt hit a whopper right to the spot I pointed out. I thought the ball was long gone by the sound of it. Darned if that CF didn't make it to the spot and rob Belt of the HR.

Haha nice. You almost called his shot. So lucky having the major league rehab assignment right there. Sucks that the Yard Goats, that’s the team local to me in Hartford, are affiliated with Colorado. Not getting any rehab assignment way out here like when they were affiliated with the Red Sox when I was a kid.

One year, every time we would go they would were playing the Harrisburg Senators. Never forget heckling that poor 3rd baseman George Virgilio every single game. Made him so mad once he turned and started screaming at us. His next at bat? Bomb lol.

I dunno now. Cabrera is definitely a good guess. Dude never got a milestone 3,000 hits card and he's been pretty much ignored thus far other than his finest card since he reached said milestone.
Always conquest. But the event, everything is lagging. Opponents sound effects for K doesn't sound off until, like, the second pitch of the next at bat. It could be this stupid upload speed issue I have with the PS5 too. 900mbs down 2 upload...switched wiring and it still does it, but never get consistent latency to catch up to.
This lag is obnoxious. You can't blame server congestion because it doesn't seem that too many people are playing anymore. Of course, no problems on other games...just this one.

Don't you love those day's though? I have them, but not very often. Usually after 2 wins it's nothing but Goons and Gods. Always finish each event well under .500

If you press both L2 and R2 at the same time, then right as the pitcher starts into the wind up, quickly tap L2 and the runner steals. I have had more success doing it this way with a runner on 1st or 2nd. But with runners on the corners I am not sure what to use to keep my runner at 3rd from stealing home when i just want the runner from 1st to steal and the runner on 3rd holds..

You have to use the left analog stick. Push it towards the baserunner you want to steal with and you will see the base light up. Hit L2 and your off on the pitch.
Also, you only need to hit L2 and hold it to preload the steal, R2 isn't relevant in the steal scenario.
They should at least give us the generate best lineup option. It's a PITA to try get that thing from 99 down to 88. I played 2 last and figured it was bullsh because I thought the same thing you did. Something isn't right. I had my entire rotation and bullpen at 75, entire bench at 75...with a line up full of 87s??? I tried 1 99 and it went over 88. It makes no sense to me, so I give up

I don't think they are catering, I think pinpoint might be a little too easy if anything. But I honestly think it's just an odd glitch with feedback. I noticed that I myself was registering perfect feedback on late and early releases. and I use meter.
Every single pitch on some of these event games. Is feedback broken again or have people become the second coming of Christ in the form of a video game? LOL
