His price will drop in a couple weeks and then he’ll be worth the price. Once he gets to 150k stubs I’ll pick him up. He’s always been tough to hit online but in higher difficulty he’s harder to control too.

His stats look great. I'm sure he'll replace Springer in right for me.

Padres went all in and I respect it. Give the Dodgers hell boys!

made it 100%

Even though Griffey just had a 99, it was an easy 99 to get. A juiced 99 that is tough to get would make sense.

First time I tried that mission I had bases loaded tied at 7 with 2 outs. I hit a foul ball down the left field line and it was looking about 10 rows deep and it magically curved into foul territory for the out. The Phillis hit a weak grounder to score for the win.

Nice. I'm gonna try this tonight just to see how badly I do. I'm impressed with everyone who can beat it.
Be patient especially on HOF. Chapman, Ryan and Johnson used a lot of off speed pitches to get 3rd strike.

What is the max stubs you can have this year. Last I saw McCutchen was like 7 million to unlock
Max you can have is 5 million. Chip away at it best you can. Don't waste stubs on packs and just put in buy orders for players you need. Try to get as many free packs as possible. Finish mini-seasons or at least repeat missions and finish programs and hope for good pulls. Even silvers and golds add up when you sell every duplicate you get.
-
Hopefully everyone is juiced and whoever you pick is going to be good. It will make for good team diversity. Not everyone picking the same players for their teams. If nothing else this gives me something to do.

A juiced switch hitting SS? Sign me up!

Last year he was a singles/doubles machine but little power. He has such a nice swing.

It's going to be nice to see some of these randoms in everyday lineups with how juiced they made some of these guys. Boggs, Edgar, Durham, Gwynn, even Ozzie they gave power too. I think they did a good job of making it so we wont see the same lineups game after game.
That's how I feel too. I know some are complaining about guys having power that never have but it makes the game fun. Lots more to choose from and you can play around with different lineups. To me it's a win. Boggs has over 90 power now so he'll be a great cards to use.

I like trying new cards just to see how I do with them but I always go back to players I know I do well with if I start slumping. I like having 2 lefty hitters and a couple switch hitters in my lineup. I've noticed more left heavy lineups so I usually have 2 lefty starters and 3 relievers

I just got him a couple hours ago so I'll try him out tonight or tomorrow. I hit great with his Finest last year so hopefully it's the same this time. His swing is just too good to not use him.

Busted my [censored] in BR and got to the 100 program points and got him. I've never really played BR but had to get him. Honestly if you play decent even without winning you can get him. It will just take a while. It'll save you a million stubs too.

All set if it’s 26. Prepping for collections is something I learned last year

I completed the 100 points to get Trout and it took about 8 hours of playing. I drafted 3 silver SP's and 2 or 3 RP/CP's and sometimes 1 gold RP. I used my diamond and gold picks for position players. Once you get used to it and do several drafts you figure out who works for you. The most important thing is getting PXP for the players in the program. Wins get you 1 point which adds up but I think I won like 11 games total and the rest came from different missions. It's a bonus that the packs you get give you players to help with collections if you haven't already completed them. Hope this helps with your progress.
What were your runs?
Best run I had was 6 wins but most of the time I won 1 or 2 games per entry. I went back and looked and actually won 21 games in total but some were people that quit as soon as the game started.

For people that have been playing for months and don't have a single collection done, what are you doing with all the stubs you've gotten for free just playing the game?
I have used some to buy cards that I wanted that were either in packs or online rewards. I probably paid a premium for them by buying them quickly. I bought a couple of the All Star and HR packs but no others.
I have played since release. I play offline only. I have done all of the main programs but only up until the last boss pack. I did about half of the Other Programs.
Mostly I have been pretty frugal with my stubs. I have 1.4 million right now. As a Cardinals fan I will be doing the Finest Collection to get Goldschmidt. At current prices that alone will use about a 3rd of my stubs.
What will I do with the rest (roughly 1 million)? I honestly don't know but I know it is not enough to chase Mantle with.
Ok follow up question, have you completed programs? How many players do you need? Genuinely interested. It seems like at this point in the year if you've completed all the programs even only playing offline you should be really close
Not necessarily. Offline programs Only get you so fat when pretty much the entirety of the allstar, breakout, rookie, veteran, and 2nd half collection are BR or event rewards. If one stops at the boss pack and doesn't sell any cards they would only be about halfway close on Future Stars, FOTF, and Jackie. The only collections you are likely to have from entirely offline play with no flipping or buying cards specifically for collections are POTM , most of topps now, and postseason.
The only real way to be close without specifically preparing for it is to have completed every event and BR program. Combine those 2 with flipping and you have people like me who have every single card(and I've flipped a whole lot less than last year, events is a massive stub maker)
Fair enough. I guess I play enough online to have collected just about every player. I haven't flipped any cards since completing the LS collection 3 weeks into the game. I'm doing a little experiment to see how many stubs you can get from 1,000 packs. I have 663 right now from programs and mini-seasons. Should have 1,000 by the end of next week and 1 million stubs. So if I can sell everything I pull I might be able to hit 5 million stubs and look at getting every player I'm missing.

For people that have been playing for months and don't have a single collection done, what are you doing with all the stubs you've gotten for free just playing the game? Buying packs hoping to land Trout? I'm a no money spent player and I usually don't play a lot online but had Mantle as soon as he dropped. I haven't opened a pack in like 3 weeks and I'm sitting on 663 packs I've gotten for free. I play ranked just to get to 250 innings and I did BR to get Trout which was easier than I thought it would be BTW and mostly I play mini-seasons to get a bunch of packs and XP. I recommend you buy players instead of packs and play online regardless of whether or not you'll win. This years format rewards playing, not winning.
Is Nolan Ryan worth the price?
Ok I take everything bad I said about the Cutch card
