@LankyRyan said in Kershaw thoughts?:
He's good. His slider is great, I just don't throw his changeup in the zone
I agree completely my success with this card started when I scrapped the idea of ever using that change up

He is great. My favorite pitcher in this game his pitch mix is great if your mixing them up right you will start making guys look silly chasing sliders and taking fastballs
They are used in franchise mode.to earn extra money to spend on a budget. Doesn’t have anything to do with DD except the rare daily mission exchange
I’ve had the most success with Walker Buehler and Prestige Orel. I have resorted to never throwing a curveball or change up as well. Cutters, sinkers, sliders and 4 seamers under the hands only
Harper is ok .Walker, Griffey, Soto,Mantle , Trout, Mays, and Cobb are all better overall. So is finest Betts but he’s perfect for 2nd base. I like to use Harper offline because i don’t have to be so worried about getting burned by balls in the gap and only Soto really hits well enough to sacrifice all the diamond defense available in the outfield at this point in the game IMO
I’m just thinking about when the central event starts and we start playing six inning, quick count, stadium locked at comerica park when all the lineups have Cobb and Honus 1,2. I can’t wait to read all the complaints about bunt cheesing and warning track perfect perfects off Yelli’s bat
I had a guy replay my home run yesterday. I lead off the game with a no doubter by Larry Walker and then hit a 497 ft bomb with my 2 hole hitter Betts. I thought he was as going to dashboard and I didn’t even realize the Betts homer was going to go that far so I was impressed with his humility in that spot . I was even more impressed he proceeded to hit like 9 home runs against me without replaying one of them and went on to beat me by a lot without doing any of the troll toxic [censored] I would normally expect someone to do if they give up back to back homers to lead off the game. My hats off to that guy I hope someday I can get on his level
I think the Belli card dips well below 100k before the end of the event. All 3 of the event rewards are desirable and I imagine the majority of players still playing the game this late in the year are capable of winning 20 event games fairly easily. Also the POTM Belli is very comparable and extremely easy to obtain offline regardless of skill level
Curveballs are the most ineffective in my opinion because even if it doesn’t hang it’s unlikely to generate both a swing and a miss. I only throw them like 3 times a game and the result I hope for is for it to bounce in the dirt on a check swing just to get my opponent thinking about another pitch for a second
Chipper Jones Veteran 94, Jacoby Ellsbury prime 96, Pablo Sandoval prime 95 for diamonds
Gleybor Torres, Max Kepler, Jd Martinez golds
D Betances and Aaron Bummer as live sleeper relievers
Amen brother Bombing Bregman from last year was my favorite finest card. In light of the sign stealing scandal it should come equipped with a trash can that bangs in the background if your opponent selects a curveball
Working under the assumption 11th inning is the final inning with no new bosses and opportunity to earn previous inning choice packs i figured what better time to reflect on this years bosses. I have collected all bosses as they came out and have used most of them online and offline so I don’t have any question about which bosses I liked and did not like and I don’t feel like I missed out on anything but I’m curious to see what everyone thinks because of how cards play differently from player to player .
My Favorites-
Kershaw - dude has been my ace since he came out I love his mix of pitches and i can time his release very well.
Foxx- an absolute animal at the dish and plays a serviceable first base
Chipper- talk about playing above attributes. This card card can bat cleanup in my lineup still even though he has been replaced by Machado for defense and the fact I’m a Padres fan
Disappointed by -
Maddux- it’s hard to play online with this card I feel like I have to pitch perfect and face an impatient hitter to have success. Good hitters destroy him on all star
Jansen- card plays like trash for me I hate his wind up and his card plays like he does in real life. Sometimes good, most of the time gets into trouble and he definitely is going to blow some saves
I just remembered David Ortiz too. I think Cano popping dirties twice this many years into MLB’s PED eradication initiatives is going to hurt his reputation more than the steroid era guys. Seems more like belligerent disregard for the rules at a time when in theory there is very few of his peers using PED’s
Dude is out for 162 games now due to a second failed PED test. Its hard to see him bouncing back in 2022 when he is 40 years old and hasn’t played in a year. Enjoy playing with your Cano cards now we all know unless its Jason Giambi SDS is not going to bring in legends involved in PED’s.
I don’t like his swing at all. Feels goofy. There are too many good outfielders to waste at bats with a guy I’m not comfortable with unless he is Uber fast or has game changing defense
I don’t think Mantle is a bench bat. He been my most consistent hitter all year he hits from both sides of the dish and his glove and speed are top notch. I bat him lead off and he still out produces Trout, Soto and Griffey for me.
I’m just saying from my experience dashboards hate giving up homers to Trout. Dashboard all you want I like the W’s ! I just think it’s ironic that Trout is the one responsible for all those extra wins when the real Trout hits better than I do with his card yet the Angels haven’t finished a season with a winning record in 5 years
The most unrealistic part of this game is how many Wins a team can stack up simply by having Mike Trout as their center fielder. Mike Trout’s MVP card should have a quirk called” walk off “ because it seems like no matter the inning, if Mike Trout hits a home run it it is a walk off home run because of dashboarders affinity for making sure there is never any evidence that they got beat by One of the greatest slugging cards in show history.
2020 postseason Travis D’Arnaud has been my catcher since he came out. He hits just as good as Foxx for me without being a defensive liability.
