I honestly give up, you can’t fight the simulated garbage they’ve implemented.

Flyout to right. So excited to play another year of The Script Show 20 - Little Billy Edition
I honestly give up, you can’t fight the simulated garbage they’ve implemented.
Pay an entry fee and watch the game screw you over, nerf your hits, unbelievable plays from the CPU, lying about what difficulty it’s on, CPU hits anything at will etc.
If your going to charge us....get rid of the SCRIPTED bs you’ve implemented EA...I mean SDS, wow had you confused for a second with a different shady gaming company. Not much of a difference at this point though.
SDS knows exactly what they’ve done, every year they tune the gameplay to help players win, if they win...they keep playing. Errors, game hanging pitches, game nerfing hits...it’s all by design to retain players. These fanboys know it’s true that’s why they don’t have anything worthwhile to say to dispute it other than weak insults. SDS is catering to the “I’m going to quit playing if it’s too hard” players.
Directional hitters are also cancer to this game, they’re only chance is if the game serves them pitches to hit....hence why we have this garbage pitching this year.
The pitching is nothing but the game controlling your location...on perfect release too.
Go ahead and say it SDS, you removed user input to influence outcomes. Why else would this be happening? That’s a question that needs to be answered.
Your paying extra money on top of the purchase of the game to play this trash?
@xxfireflyxx69 said in Since the game is a joke, how about we make a mini game out of it:
I'm more curious as to how that's good/okay?
It’s the game nerfing your hits to keep the score where it wants it. All part of the script.
18 = Slower pitch speeds
19 = Introduces errors forced by the game to control momentum swings/outcomes.
20 = Game controlling your pitching, still have errors.
*All games in the last 3 years have rewarded bad hits while nerfing good hits.
Every year they find a new way to cater to little Billy instead of making a legit, user input friendly game.
1 - Pitching
Perfect release means nothing. Game decides where your pitch goes. Like seriously, why even call it “Perfect Release” when the outcome is not?
2 - Little Billy
Ruined this game on release day when he bought it.
I want them to explain to us players why they drastically changed this game on release day. They didn’t do it because they were bored. It was intentional and I’m curious about those intentions.
This is how it goes, plain and simple.
1 - Game companies want money.
2- They get money from players.
3- They want to retain those players for money making purposes.
4- They design their game to keep players interested.
5- Players spend money because their liking the success they are having in the game.
Unfortunately that’s how it goes these days. Isn’t it interesting that the consensus is that the majority of the BS you experience during games is at the levels where the majority of players play? Think about that for a second.

The amount of posts all reporting the same BS happening has overwhelmed the defenders and they are out of excuses.
We now even have real MLB players disgusted by the gameplay, great idea by the way SDS.
I think we deserve an apology, after all, we were right and your excuses proved to be nothing but fake news.
Except most of people’s complaints up until last week were about hitting, that’s all I’ve defended, fielding needs work, pitching needs tweaks, hitting is fine if it stays like this, still a heck of a lot better than anything we’ve had the last couple years
Hitting is far from fine
Remember, he’s “playing a different game than the rest of us”. Apparently we are all just imagining things.
3 years of playing, hundreds of dollars, millions of stubs, thousands of packs.....I finally pulled Trout from a CONQUEST pack!!

As for gameplay, just keep the game as is. I really don’t want to have to adjust to patches and what not throughout the year. Sure there’s annoying things but they’ve been around for years and it’s clear after all the suggestions/feedback that SDS just ain’t going away from them. The randomness of getting hits or not, pitches going wherever on perfect release, errors, the CPU fouling off 10 pitches in a row, the obvious scripted Moments...just to name a few. Anyways, it is what it is, just keep it that way instead of tinkering all year.
3 times today I was 1 win away from breaking into the 500’s (PR) all 3 games it’s sit back and watch SDS and their simulation bs screw you over. Pitches going right down the middle, OK contact on near center PCI, Errors, opponents getting cheap hits etc.
But according to some, it’s all my fault. It’s my fault I was aiming for a foot out of the zone with good release but SDS puts my pitch right down the middle for my opponent to crush, it’s my fault my players make errors, it’s my fault SDS is handing out cheap hits, it’s my fault the game nerfs my hits at will.
It’s just whatever, the simulation factor has ruined this game. User input is irrelevant and directional hitters are being favored with meatballs being served up to them because they can’t hit without the game helping them.
I get a feeling this is intentional to help directional players and lesser skilled players. It’s either a walk or a pitch right over the middle, something shady going on.
Put in on directional and wait for the game to hang pitches for you, that’s it!!
The game controlling my pitch location is literally deciding games. Awesome job SDS, you’ve reached a new low when it comes to scripted gameplay.
Did you honestly think we wouldn’t have noticed this?
Fix it, or admit user input is irrelevant and the game decides what happens.

That's insane and impossible at the same time. Ridiculous
Yeah, I’m pretty proud of it!!! It’s the biggest difference I’ve got yet. I’m actually getting a pretty good laugh at what this game decides to do.
Not sure if SDS is familiar with cards but they have a real opportunity for buying packs funner.
In real packs you have stuff like parallel’s, numbered (for example 5/50) and even autographed just to name a few of the potential pulls you can get.
Why not have these variations in packs in this game? It would be cool to pull a, for example, Ronald Acuña parallel that’s limited to 50 cards and it’s actually numbered on the card which one you pulled. Stats could stay the same but this could bring some fun to seeing lineups and the cards players have pulled.
Just a brief example of how real cards could translate into this game. There’s even hobby boxes in real life that guarantee an autograph or relic that SDS could put up as a “bundle”.
Just an idea.
Pitching is still garbage. If perfect doesn’t mean perfect....why are we even trying to get it?
Nope, I went directional....all I have to do is sit back, one hand on the controller, sipping on some fresh coffee, watching a movie and wait for the game to hang my opponents pitches for me to crush with the push of one button. I get PLENTY of easy pitches served up to me.
The more I think about it, I’m loving this edition of “The Little Billy Show”.

“We are continuing to monitor it”.....they are so out of touch with how the majority of the players feel.
This is what I mean. They are too focused on telemetry and data that they will sacrifice gameplay if it means statistics are where they want them to be which is stupid. Their approach to this game is a bad one.
This is how they think. They don’t change things based on testing they change things based on the data that comes from our gameplay. So if averages are 250-350 and eras are 2-5.00 in their minds the games playing great. That’s false. This is why this game plays like such garbage.
Yep! It’s borderline scripted because it’s trying to simulate real life baseball regardless of user input. The errors, nerfed hits, game controlling momentum swings by rewarding garbage hits
and now this year basically controlling our pitches.
For the love of God, let this game be what it literally is.....a video game.
