Exactly this. Keep him on your bench until you have runners in scoring position. I would pinch-hit with him once I had a runner on third with less than two outs. A hit, groundout, or sac fly would get me the rbi.
My event lineup had Lou Brock and Honus at the top of the lineup. Once they got on base I would steal to get them in scoring position.

^ Exactly this. Mantle is widely thought to be the best card in the game. Always take the hitter who will play 9 innings over a reliever who would struggle to pitch back2back games because of low stamina.

The prestige part is what has me concerned. Prestige is mostly an online thing ( exception is prestige xp user level). The Todd Helton card they shown is prestige and only able to be done online. I do not believe SDS will be that crazy and require a collection of cards that are Prestige that can only be acquired online. If they not crazy, then i assume its one huge unique collection.

My guess would be that a prestiged card may just double as a second card for that subset. Example: Mariano Rivera and Prestige Mo count as 2 different Sig Series cards. There's no way Prestige cards will have their own category. SDS would be excluding all offline players from ever collecting the reward.

I don't know how to prestige Didi Gregorious or even get him for free. I mainly play conquest each day, ranked seasons two or three times a week, and batting practice when I need it. The other features and parts of the game, I don't know much about. But I'm thinking that Moments, March To October and other parts are where I could be missing out on a lot of good, free cards. To answer your position question. playing at a secondary is a 5point fielding penalty, playing at a position that isn't a secondary " out of position" is a very severe penalty and at 1B and catcher they will drop quite a lot and make very bad throws.

Thank you for the information about secondary positions. It sounds like if I pick up Bobby Witt Jr., I'd have to play him at his normal shortstop, and likely move Lindor's 87 card to 2nd or 3rd base if possible.

I would recommend that route. Witt's defense won't be hurt by playing him at his natural SS position and Lindor's defense is good enough to still play at 2B or 3B.

Clarify what you mean by locked then. If you’ve accrued 64/70 in stage 3 it clearly isn’t locked.
