It’s on All-Star. Use it as practice to hit vs a good pitcher. Everyone always complains about this, but it’s really not a big deal. If you’re trying to grind him it’s smart to play 1 game and then forfeit your run and start over. I’d rather do that then the mindless grind vs CPU with 20+ Ks per game.

For those struggling or if you already decided to stop trying, it can be done! The first couple of days when Extreme dropped I probably went 0-10 on Showdown and I never even made it to Chapman. I usually have no problems completing Showdown and I was so frustrated I decided I would complete everything else and then just get the extra 75k in PXP for Donaldson.
Yesterday I was grinding the event and it seemed like almost every opponent had Donaldson. Some of those opponents didn’t even seem like they were very good players(based on Ranked records, batting averages, etc.). I decided to give it another go and after two quick exits, was able to lock in and get it done on my third try back. Maybe the extra motivation of “if they can do it, I can do it too” helped or maybe SDS made it easier lol. Either way I’m glad it’s done and Donaldson is now in my lineup. If you’ve taken a few days away from it, I’d say give it another shot.
I started a bit slow with him in the event, but in his first Ranked game on HOF, he went 3 for 4 with 3 HR. Hard to make room for all the elite 3B, but he’s a welcomed addition.

Judge is slightly ahead of Ohtani in war, so I think Judge should get it. If Ohtani were ahead, I would think he should get it (even if Judge had 70 homers…or 85 homers)
I'm not a huge fan of WAR, particularly not if the idea is to use it as the sole determining factor for the MVP. If I'm reading this right:
https://www.espn.com/mlb/war/leaders
it looks like Ohtani has been penalized -1.4 WAR for defense? As far as I can tell, Ohtani has not played any position other than P and DH. He's got a spotless 1.000 fielding percentage from the mound (in 4 attempts lol). So he loses -1.4 points just for being DH? That feels arbitrary. And if you take that -1.4 deduction away, he actually has a better WAR than Judge (10.2 vs. 9.7).
You could say that Ohtani being a DH should count against him, but that site says Judge has a -0.1 defensive WAR. So it's not like he's in the MVP talks for his glove, so it feels unfair to penalize Ohtani -1.4 WAR for not playing defense when Judge is playing defense but apparently not all that well.
Its not without flaws but I still think its probably the best way to generally show the value of a player.
The issue is that its not just so simple as adding OFF+DEF because of the positional adjustments that are used in both calculations. The ESPN chart shows not a single player has a total WAR that equals their OFF+DEF war. It also doesn't help that the calculations vary a bit (fangraphs have a bigger edge for Judge https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/war?season=&wartype=&lg=&team=)
Ohtani being a DH does count against his offensive WAR numbers, but its only a few tenths of a point at most. Its not as extreme as the defense-only WAR numbers indicate.
Another good way is to watch. Ohtani is clearly better than Judge.
Better at what? Pitching?
Ohtani is extremely talented, he’s having a very good year. Even with that, Judge should not only win MVP, it should be unanimous.

WC Mission.
Pitch 7 innings with Joe Musgrave without giving up two hits when we can't control the fielders.
Have fun.
While a 7 inning pitching mission is very annoying, it’s on Rookie. I think you can handle it.

Reported them for what exactly? Also, what do you expect them to do when your opponents aren’t doing anything illegal, cheating, etc.?

Kiner or Honus, both from Juicy 2 pack so they are easy to get especially Kiner because he is in the base round.
Neither of them are better than 99 trout lol
His question was who better not who is a suitable replacement
And the only outfielder that I would even consider better is 99 RF Cutch
I have to agree with this. There’s an endless supply of very good 99’s out at this point, but the only CF that I would put on the level of this Trout is Cutch and Griffey. I personally want elite D and speed in CF. I’ve had way too many bad animations/reactions with weaker defenders.

Today will change everything.
100%. My lineup next week will be:
C - Finest Adley
1B - Finest
2B - Finest
3B - Finest
SS - Finest
LF - Finest
CF - Finest Trout (yes, I grinded through BR to get him)
RF - FinestThis is why I laugh when people say they have their endgame lineup or endgame(whatever position). It’s such a fluid concept when you never know what random cards are going to drop that might blow up your whole
Lineup. -

The ability for people who know the “secret method” of quick pausing the game after you take a lead off 2nd base, moving their fielder closer to the bag, then picking you off even though you 100% know what they are trying to do and you are jamming the button to either go back to the bag or call time and step out of the box.
The argument of don’t take the extra step is trash, I only take the step when nobody is near the runner just like every baserunner should in real life and also the game makes it too easy for runners to be thrown out at home on a two out base hit. The fact that it’s a unrealistic glitch and there’s like a magic way of doing it(if people take a lead on me at second and I throw there they seem to get back no problem) means that they should address it.
Every time this happens to me I want to throw my controller through the wall. Am I alone here?
Are you taking the extra step PRIOR to them selecting a pitch? I heard that if you take the extra step before they (it's either or) they select the pitch or before they look over it's a guaranteed pick-off.
Not 100% sure, but the bigger issue is the quick pause menu thing. They can basically pause me out of any action while they change their defensive alignment, then unpause and pick me off without me being able to do anything about it. It’s probably the cheesiest exploit that I’ve come
across and I feel like they need to address it somehow. -
I’d prefer someone pitch fast over taking their sweet time between pitches 100% of the time. It’s a video game, you don’t need to step out of the box and adjust your batting gloves.

While I think he’s being a baby I don’t think he’s wrong about Jeters speed. The game is different now, steals are rare nowadays. Steals also don’t necessarily equal speed. Jeter should probably max around 80 speed if they want to be generous. His best card will probably be able to reach 90 thoWhy is Jeter on top of a building? That's all I'm wondering. Didn't he play shortstop?
If he was an iron worker I'd understand it a little better
I’m a Union Ironworker and a lifelong Yankee fan and I have no issue with Jeter on top of a building.
I do take issue with “light hitting defensive shortstop”. The Jeter hate is so ridiculous. It makes me wonder if many of you have actually followed baseball for any appreciable amount of time. He is an all-time great player. He did everything on the field and was as cool/calm a player that came through clutch time and time again.

For a primary LF, FS Trammell is a great choice. Diamond defense and hits a ton
-
Isn’t he a reward for getting to 500 in RS?
-
Just started playing RS for the first time on my secondary acct the past few days. I built my squad into something decent, still not great, but wanted to see how I can do and get my CAP some gameplay. The low levels of RS when you first enter in usually a breeze.
Start off 5-0. Don’t think a game got past the 4th inning. Everyone quit. Next game my hitting goes into one of those perfect-perfect/Good-Good ruts where nothing goes out or lands. My opponent has a legit squad with Mantle and every ball he puts in play leaves. 5-1 record now.
Next two I get two early quits again. 7-1. Now I match up vs someone with a similar lineup to mine. Mind you this is 400s gameplay. We go 20 INNINGS! Every ball I was on was a lineout, caught in the gap or at the wall. Inning after inning of this. It was ridiculous. He had back to back solos early. 2-0 to the 9th. Score 2 to tie. 10th I hit a 2-r HR with Didi. He gets a two out walk and then a 2 strike HR to tie in the bottom half. We don’t score again until the 20th when my cap, Mike Honcho, goes yard. 5-4 win.
I struck him out 34 times vs 11 for me. I cursed about 34 times during this game. I am not great at this game, but I’ve been in the 800s twice this year on my main acct. I was better than this guy and it should not have taken that long. Blame it on the trash stadium he picked(Tropicana)???Sheesh.
Sorry just had to rant.
PS- Anyone ever strikeout 12+ batters with two pitchers in the same game?
Paxton- 7 Inn, 14 K
Kluber- 6 Inn, 12 KHRD Ripken was 0-8 w/7 Ks!
-
Since you’re just starting, I would grind the POTM like crazy and get Didi, Correa, Belli and Paxton. All very good cards that can be prestiged and you can get them for free, or with some exchanges to help the grind.
By doing that you’ll get a bunch of other usable cards while you build up your squad(Dietrich, Grandal, Laureano, etc.)
-
That’s the real question here.

Pulled one last night and sold it. Out here doing God’s work.

I did a bunch of TA exchanges last night and ended up with 69 TA packs. Pulled 2 AJ Ramos and sold em. You’re welcome.
4 diamond pulls too. All ~ quicksell though

It’s an 85-89 LS diamond and non-sellable

I thought that shot with Tatis to end the game might get in the gap. Definitely one of the most competitive games I’ve had in a while.
Event should be called the "Kerry Wood Invitational"
