There should be multiple roads to the destination.
OMG!!! You got it! This is exactly how it works! It's just Online is like an Expressway and offline is the Scenic Route!
Good Job you got there!

XP Cap affects Online Players the exact same as Offline. You realize that right. In actuality, they'll hit the cap first because they're receiving XP Multipliers while you're playing on Rookie. All the extra XP is earned through the program which isn't effected by the XP Cap. The whole idea behind how XP works this year is that everyone still has the opportunity to earn all those high end 99 cards. Offline and Online alike, but online players have the opportunity to earn them faster. It used to be that the only way you could even obtain a lot of the high end cards was to play online and actually win. Now, theoretically, you could go in to ranked, set your controller down and collect innings and eventually accrue enough points to collect those same cards that they're actually trying to obtain by winning. It's the second week of the games life cycle...they're going to be tons of programs offering tons of XP that won't be affected by the XP Cap. You'll get your 3 99 boss cards. You're just upset that you can't have them tomorrow.
Online players are not affected like offline players because they are getting way more xp in programs, which is the exact point of my post
SAY IT WITH ME NOW!!! XP FROM PROGRAMS IS NOT AFFECTED BY THE XP CAP! They're receiving more XP than you because they're CHOOSING to play a mode that you're REFUSING to play.
You're complaint isn't wrong...Yes Online players receive more XP than Offline. But the XP Cap has nothing to do with that.

Even if I have 'warmup pitchers off,' I still 'warm them up,' meaning i highlight the next 2 pitchers i'm putting in, in Conquest games.
Warmup Pitchers Off just means that when you bring in your pitcher from the bullpen, they don't have to do the 8 Pitch Warmup routine.

Yep, I had to rework my TA Central lineup last night cause the IE boosted a few of my guys past the 60 Vision Mark so they no longer got Boosted by Buxton.

TV's, and I'm sure that would help, but I played on TV's for all other iterations of the game and didn't have the issues I've been having this season. Like, I swing at what seems like decent timing and the feedback will show the ball already crossing the plate before my swing begins to plane out. And it'll be that real late animation you'd get if you like waited to swing at the last possible second..
I’m probably way off here but that almost sounds like your tv isn’t processing the signal fast enough and what you’re seeing with your eyes and reacting to may be slightly off from where the consoles processor says the ball is. I mean you’ve been playing for years and I tend to lean in favor of what your muscle memory is telling you.
Please understand that I’m not trying to say that you have a crappy tv at all. I play on a tv too but I have also noticed the time i hooked to my sons gaming monitor I hit a whole lot better than what I do on my big screen.
Just throwing the guess out there and I really think I’m not articulating my point very well but I hope it makes sense
Nope I know exactly what you're saying cause I feel that's what the issue is too sometimes, but they are the same 2 TV's ive had for years so that Variable in the equation has stayed the same which is what baffles me. LOL But I did notice that my PS5 pops a notification saying it won't match my TVs HDR settings but I discovered the PS5 Default was 1440 where my TV is 1080p. Once I changed my PS5 setting to only go to 1080p, I quit getting that pop up.
The ‘Kentucky windage’ version of one potential attempted fix would be for you to try advancing your timing by whatever you perceive it to be off by - start your swing just a bit early lol I know that’s much MUCH easier said than done if not impossible actually but if you could pull it off with any kind of consistency it sure would be interesting to know the results
FYI, I got this straightened out! Somehow with the PS5, my TV wasn't staying in Game Mode when I turned it on like my PS4 did. Went in and double checked to see it was still on my normal TV Viewing mode. Changed it...made some tweeks to the brightness/color and now i'm no longer 4 days late on every fastball! LOL. Similar thing with my other TV that the PS4 is on. Made some Brightness/Gamma adjustments and it's much better! Never would've thought it wouldn't have saved the Game Mode setting...

Sorry, but if it's like last year's egg hunt, I don't really consider it a program. Anyone who doesn't play on-line can't possibly complete it. Really goes against the "play how you want" talking point.
That said, if this all didn't make them more money last year (just like this same strategy makes EA more money), they wouldn't be repeating it this year. So, for better or worse, this is clearly the game the user base wants, voting with their wallets.
Egg hunt was easy last year. And i don't play online either. It was like hit a HR in Ranked, BR, Events. Get a couple wins in BR/Events. There's nothing to spend stubs on. It's really not that hard to go online and hit a fluke HR or to even win a game. May take a few games to actually do it, but not hard. Hardest part of Egg Hunt last year was knowing what actually counted. And there were like a million videos all over the internet after day 1.
-
I bought Adam Dunn to help with the National HR's for Dylan Crews. He's Solid. Just bought Dansby for my Braves squad...He'll be a good Shortstop with Byron's Boost too.
-
I'm being optimistic that we're going to have more smaller programs upcoming that will provide chunks of XP. I know it won't happen, but that's what I'm hoping for. 3 strike out innings giving less than 100 xp is brutal. I know it wasn't a whole lot more last year, but dang. I'm averaging 200-300 XP on offense if I score 2-3 runs an inning. That's just mind boggling low. Perhaps they'll adjust it.
-
Gold Willie Castro, Gold Jorge Soler, LS Brandon Lowe. With the Buxton Boost they're unstoppable. The Gold TA Collection Carlos Pena is pretty Clutch too.
-
Bots are all well and good until you get banned for Boosting after playing one...
-
Agreed. It's a pain. It's a cool batters eye, don't get me wrong. But there's a lot going on back there and it's tough to pickup the ball during the day.

I've struggled with my Timing this season bad. I thought it might have been because it's the first time playing on PS5 (I got it after I'd pretty much quit playing '23) But even on my PS4 I struggle all the same.

Sure it would ok if you had 15+ hits and your opponent didn't?

@collin_sds Are these even the same thing? This billboard says the QR code is good until 4/20? The codes we're talking about can be found all over Social Media (TikTok, Reddit, FB, Youtube, etc) and are meant to be entered into the https://codes.theshow.com/home site...

I've been playing some of the Umbrella map on All-star and while there's still instances of the terrible pitching...It's not even close to being as bad as Rookie and Veteran. I've been getting much better pitches...And the difficulty increase while noticeable, isn't as bad as I thought it'd be. I'm still extremely late on a lot of fastballs...and they do seem to always get a 2 out rally in the last inning to tie the game, it's still better than waiting through 20 balls to make contact with a single strike thrown to only pop out to the warning track or perfect/perfect a line drive to the shortstop.
