3 Months????? But I want s!!!!
Just Kidding. Well said. Last year was my first and while I jumped right into DD, I ended up going back and doing RTTS and really got a hang of what the game was all about.

Welp post of the year and the game isn't even out yet
Can we get this permanently pinned until next seasons part 2 rendition. There will be a second one? Right? Just like the generation of today, I’ve already consumed this and I want more!!!
I say this should at least be a quarterly thing. Or prior to every major content drop, like SFs version of a pre inning or TA stream. It makes the waiting less painful..
And the Waiting is the hardest part.

I'll say this before anyone goes on a tangent about his H/9 being 114. I am one of the biggest haters of no-hitter cards and juiced H/9 for starting pitchers. Relievers having those H/9 numbers has never been a problem
I'm right there with you. I liked the No Hitter cards, but like you....I think they devalued many other cards that should have been elite like Pedro and Bob Gibson. With the bullpen, it's a much different ballgame.

Brewers- Devin Williams with the 114 H/9.
That card is about to be a problem
Yup, Williams, Clase and Chapman are gonna make the opening weeks a hitting issue in the later innings.
Brewers- Devin Williams with the 114 H/9.

The nature of work has changed and is highly flexible. Ballplayers wake up at 12, workout, take a nap, show up at the ballpark 3 hours before the game, meet with press, warmup, play a 3 hour game, meet with press again, fly to the next city, in bed at 4 am. And this is 7 days a week for 7 months. Off-seasons can involve business deals, training, and even winter leagues.
I get up 5 minutes before work and sign into work at 8:30 in my underwear. I then proceed to work, drink coffee, and post on these forums until I sign off at 5:00.
Who has the real “9-5 job”?
And if you don’t like your situation, change it. I assume you live in a free country.
No, I don’t. Unfortunately.
This just got interesting....
He lives in Russia where people are actually being oppressed.
Ohhhhh, gotcha. I think we keep assuming this is another poster with multiple accounts and if not, then my bad.
I'm soooo bored at work, I'm sorry I post so much...but, just like my good pal @arvcpa_PSN asked what your day 1 plans are, here I am asking.....
What would you like to see in 22? What are your goals in 22?
Personally, I want to collect them all this year. Even the player who gets a good early card and is later cancelled thus making it impossible to collect them after a certain time.
I'd like to focus on P5ing more cards. I didn't start doing thus until 2 weeks ago and now I'm obsessed.
Last, I'd like to finish an event or 2 and improve my online abilities.
As For my wishes:
An extremely good Bob Gibson card
More than just 5 of the legends Anime cards, I really dig those
Huge TA programs, by far my favorite part or DD
Excellent luck pulling cards. I think I had some beginners luck in 21 and am afraid that will go away.
Anybody else?

I like it too. In TA4 and TA5 they had 5 points for beating a team on All Star and in the past I heard there was all time teams with a similar objective. Like the poster above, I usually stick to the lower difficulties but would love an incentive other than just XP to try HOF and Legend.
Vlad the impaler is one.

Yikes....it can't be can it?
I do believe so...my favorite is when this one posts and the the other one responds.
This is pure Gold.

I’m still saying Wisdom for the cubs and Yelich for the brewers. Stroman hasn’t done anything for the cubs yet, while Wisdom at least set a cubs rookie record last year. Stroman isn’t exactly on the same level as Seager in that he’ll be the future of the team for the next decade either. Burnes and Hader will already have good cards, but Yelich’s LS is going to be bad so it makes sense to give it to him.
I totally agree on these picks. I just want more starting pitching hahaha. But there will be loads of other cards. A Yelich would be great and you're right, the LS for Hader, Burnes and Woodruff will be much better.
Wisdom is the logical choice based on his season, like I said, I just want SPs.
Quick poll: who will be the Brewers and Cubs FotF?
My guesses are Marcus Stroman and Corbin Burnes. Burnes would make a great early game SP. Of course so would Woodruff and Peralta.

The OP takes this game way too seriously. It’s a game. If a person needs to compare it to a job or treat it like a job, they need to find a new hobby. I already have a full time career, I don’t need a second job playing a video game that I’m not getting paid to play. If it felt that way, I’d delete off my system if my wife didn’t already do it for me. There are too many other things in life to worked up about and a video game is not even in my top 100.
I got 99 problems and not having the Roberto Alomar card ain't one.
Ok....yes it is!!!!!!!!! I'm missing one card. Sure there are wars and pandemics and Fresh Princes slapping comedians in the name of love.....but where is my Roberto Alomar card??
I'm sorry, what were we talking about?

Radbourn not only pitched 73 games, but he completed every single one of them. That’s more impressive than Ryan. I’m going to have to download this database! Thanks @arvcpa_PSN and @SchnauzerFace
I also use retrosheet.org - I can spend hours clicking around randomly. They have box scores and play-by-play of most everything from the last 100 years.
These are great. I read a lot of baseball history as I imagine many others on here do but I usually stick to the World Series era circa 1903 and on. It's fun to go back and look at a retrospective of the game in the 19th century when it was completely different....and yet....still ️.
I just read a great biography of Ty Cobb by Charles Leershen that dispels a lot of myths about him and now I'm reading 1954 by Bill Madden and those players are a lifetime away from these 19th century legends.
How about good Ole Candy Cummings? Inventor of the curveball and a perfect name for a stripp....I mean pitcher.
