Hello, my name is Matt and I am addicted to packs. Despite not pulling a diamond in my last 100 (couple 20's and 10's). Even though the stubs I waste on packs, most likely could just buy me the player from the market...it's just not as thrilling, especially when that shiny blue pops up and for a split second you think, "I've done it. This could be Trout I've never pulled him before, so this is my chance." Then crappy Springer shows up and you remember why you hate packs.

I know some of you are a little disappointed with the card, but I've been asking for this card for two years. He was an absolute beast in 17. My only hope is they haven't touched any of his stats from the card. However, looking at his stats from the 2013 season (the year the card is based on) he's probably going to have lower power. He did miss half the year and still hit 20 bombs, but wouldn't be surprised if the power is lower. I hope not though. This is easily my pick!
Check out the card stats from the MLB 17 below, it's about 3/4 of the way down the page. You can also just google "Hanley Ramirez MLB 17", go to images, as well.

Jo Adell worth the stubs or wait a month or two for the price to fall? I love his stats and would be a great leadoff hitter.

@halfbutt said in 4 Kluber's in a row in this event. Nice diversity.:
I chose Rollie instead of Kluber because:
- everyone has him
- my pen was weaker than my rotation
- I get another choice later
Twins

Appreciate it fellas

Both look very similar other than a few stats. Jim Edmonds has better contact vs R/L, but Bellinger has 10 points higher in vision, plus better arm strength.

I didn’t see a survey. Where was this, on the website or in game?
Top Right of the Website, there is a MLB 20 Survey on content. It's a red button

I'm curious as to what your main points for the survey we're. Here we're mine:
-
Conquest Extreme- This was hard but it was one of the most rewarding modes a few years ago when you got Flashback Matt Kemp, Yadi Molina, someone else I can't remember, plus a good amount of XP/Stubs.
-
Stat rewards- I think it was 16 or 17 when they tracked the number of hits, homeruns, strikeouts, wins, etc. and you would get rewards when you hit certain milestones. I would love to see those again, they were rewarding especially the higher you got. Plus it was pretty cool to see your stats along the way.
-
I also expressed that I thought some of the collection rewards were weak this year, especially if you compare to years prior. The main rewards are good (Sheffield, Biggio, Mantle), but my complaint is some of the individual team rewards and some of the division ones. For example, Dodgers/Yankees cost less to do (stub wise) in comparison to the Angles but you get a 92 (Piazza/Giambi), but the Angels for the most expensive card is an 85, plus you also need Rendon. I think the AL Central collection reward is super weak with Walter Johnson. I think Alomar (AL East) and Gwynn (NL West) are okay rewards, however, after having them all of 19 pretty much, it would have been cool to have different guys here. The end rewards are great, but when you aren't going for all of LS, it's pretty much not worth it. The 16/17 collection rewards were bomb, but now it's like they are only worried about the end ones.

Thanks for the reviews!

I am thinking about going after Sheffield because he is one of my all-time favorite players. I know it would cost a good amount to get him (Bellinger, Arenado, Ketel Marte, Acuna, Scherzer, DeGrom, Yelich, etc.).
How does Sheffield, Mike Schmidt, Tony Gwynn, and Stargell do for you all?

Anybody else use the multiple lineups feature for Ranked Seasons? I have a "Best" lineup, All Red Sox lineup, Live Series Lineup, and a FOTF/TA Prospects. Every game, I move to the next lineup and to be able to use different players.
Anyone else do this?
-
Oh true, didn't realize about the stubs from central part of the collection.
Yeah, I saw Johnson's per 9/s and was kinda like "blah." But I guess, since other then the Indians, it isn't too hard to collect. I might look into selling Lindor to complete a different division with a better overall reward. For example, NL central or AL East
-
I packed Francisco Lindor and I rake with him. I can't decide if I want to lock the collection in or not. I've knocked out all the other collections for the division (Tigers, Royals, White Sox, and Twins), so the last one would be the Indians.
The only player I would need to buy is Jose Ramirez to finish off the collection. I just can't decide if it's worth locking in 40k for Cody Allen and Walter Johnson. I probably won't be aiming to complete the collections, since I really would only want Sheffield out of the collection rewards. Mantle would be nice but seems like a whole bunch of stubs to lock in for non-sellable players.
-
That is correct
-
I drafted a great BR team last night! Minnie Mimoso, FOTF Justin Turner, LS Gary Sanchez, LS Joey Gallo, LS Jorge Soler, LS Edwin Encarnacion for the lineup. Then have 4 or 5 bullpen silvers, with a 1 gold (can't remember who).
I can't wait to play with the lineup and most likely lose the first game... insert crying emoji
-
Maybe for an event, I could see this work. Make your team, then get a random 3 round draft of power-ups to use.
It would absolutely never work in Ranked Seasons or BR. Nobody wants that in those modes.

I sucked with Francisco Lindor in MLB 19, but I got him this year after pulling him in a 30 bundle. I figured I'd give him a try again, and this year I'm just going off with him. In roughly 50 at-bats, he has 10 HRs, 20 RBI's, and is batting .310. All I do is contact swing with him as well. I must just have his swing done, but man he is MVP so far for MLB 20 for sure.

(a) You are player locked as Granderson, so all you do is hit? It took me like 30 minutes to finish them... (b) You don't have to play the CPU. There are missions for playing online that can replace those points you get.
-
That is frustrating, but use them for exchanges in team affinity. That way, you can get some use out of them.
