When will MLB the Show fix the official scoring? I am tired of playing these challenges that I need a XBH and I get to second on a stand up double and I get scored a single.
Also, before you Statisticians jump all over me. I am aware of the scoring rules and the scenarios that if I hit a bloop shot barely into the outfield and the fielder throws home allowing me to get to second because of the throw isn't scored a double. It's not those cases that I am talking about. Thanks.
is there a runner on base? I don't think the issue is the official scoring in the game.
I know of one instance with Meneses when I ran to second and somehow the CPU defense threw the ball away, me thinking I had the double but wanted to insure that I got credit for an extra base hit ran to third and then proceeded to go home before getting thrown out at the plate... the official ruling was a single.
In another instance with a man on second, again with Meneses, I hit a ball in the gap and made my way around the bases and was rounding second when the runner got thrown out at home, officiail ruling was a single.
I imagine in the first case they ruled single and advancement on throwing error and second case I imagine they ruled single because of the throw home but I was already rounding the base which had me feeling a certain type of way but I lived with it and retried the Moment until I eventually got two no questions asked doubles.
Yeah, it's the scenarios that are like you mentioned that I am half way to second before the ball is being thrown into the infield. In the cases I am speaking of, that if the ball was fielded by the outfielder and thrown to second to try to get me out, I don't think that he would get me out. I just know in 95% of these scenarios on the game, if it was a real MLB game, they are scoring a double. It's like you said a minor thing and frustrating for a minute and then you go and get no doubt doubles. Just a nitpick at a great game is all. Appreciate your response.
