Thanks to everyone in this forum, I’ve gotten better, learned how to work the stubs (FINALLY got Mantle and Trout yesterday), and found a community that has genuinely good people in it helping others out. As a Dad who doesn’t get much time, I couldn’t have done it without your help.
This game is just like my golf game. I don’t play enough to get good, but have one really good swing that makes me come back.
Thanks again to everyone. I’ll be online striking out with Trout and Mantle now thanks to you! Cheers!
I am an older dad who loves playing the show. I’ve been playing literally forever and I started back when RBI baseball and bases loaded we’re groundbreaking games On my Nintendo.
Are used to buy every single baseball game that came out every year and we compare them all and pick my favorite one. Do you think we have glitches now? Imagine having baseball players come up left-handed but have them be in the right handed box facing the wrong way. Then when you tried to take it back to the store they would not give you your money back!
Anyway, I am a closet player. I’m actually embarrassed to tell people I play so I never have anyone to share accomplishes with.
So all that said, are there any dads like me out there?
I would definitely be in on an over 40 league. I would probably still suck but at least it would be fun as hell knowing that when someone pauses the game, they’re not being jerks, they’re just yelling at their kids hahaha
RicksterGhost. Entertainment value is huge.
But Cbrev for my vote.
I joined the event thinking this was my chance to win a few games and have some fun. Nope. I got slaughtered all day yesterday as a casual player against WS, 100 Prestige, top 50 type players. I couldn’t even get lucky. You guys are ridiculously good at this game.
Shout out to one of you who despite kicking my rear, threw meatball after meatball to Joe Morgan to help me with the mission. Of course I fouled off 11 or so pitches before I just took the K like a man. Appreciate the good people who play.
Just out of curiosity, I wonder why historically sports teams looked at the Native Americans, who we basically stole the land from, and said, hey, why don’t we name our sports teams after them? While we’re at it, let’s use some disparaging names (Washington) and invent some fake traditions like a tomahawk chant?
Look, I’m an old guy who loved watching the Redskins and thought the tomahawk chant was the coolest thing to watch in the 90’s in Atlanta, so I’m a hypocrite. That doesn’t mean I can’t look now and go, wow, that is sort of wrong when you think about it. I hate that they are changing things like the Indians name, but I also understand it.
Just my thoughts that no one asked for.
Sounds like strategy to me. If he can make that happen, well played.
I was kidding because he pitched FOREVER in the MLB.
I do about 10 minutes of work, then check the forum, refresh my coffee, check Twitter, check CNN, think about who I can buy with stubs, go to the bathroom, and repeat for about 8 hours.
I get it guys. I was more frustrated this morning. We're all right in our own ways. I'm just watching opportunity go by the wayside for everyone, not just me. A lot of good points made here in the responses. Have an awesome day.
Wagner has been lights out for me. He’s one of the only high stub cards I won’t sell for collections. That said, you can’t go wrong with many of these guys at this point.
Weird moment. The computer would eventually auto throw the ball to the pitcher and reset. Must have glitched.
I use directional for the same reason as I’m getting too old to be trying to keep up with the hand eye coordination. I can hold my own online, usually get the event awards and can be a 700 player. No way I’m going above that with directional but I’ll stay in my lane and enjoy the game I want to play anyway.
How do you know about Bays swing? From back in the day?
Depends how you like to pitch honestly. Off speed guys don’t work well for me personally. I’d rather have movement and gas. So I’m adding DeGrom and Ryan to your rotation. Again, personal preference.
I’m definitely in the minority but I kind of like the extra inning rule. It actually adds back some strategy into the game.
Why is the 72 non-sellable Giambi a daily moment award again? What am I going to do with that???
I’m bumping this. Anyone have a list of which quirks are active?

Grisham, Smith, Alvarez. All glitched.
I can’t hit a beachball with Gallo. Only one on the planet.
For all you Red Sox fans out there who have listened to Joe Castiglione on the radio, the pain is real. Every time he yells “A hit and a drive! The 1B camps under it and it’s a loud out” it makes me think how “realistic” this game is lol
