It's a shame dumbasses send messages like that, as it makes a lot of folk turn off their messages.
I actually sometimes like having a chat with my opponent, usually after the game or after a big play. I'm always friendly, and they respond in kind; or don't respond at all and that's cool too. Got some good tips once from a dude who was owning me. -

Stupid question, but I havent been paying attention to this.
How do you actually get these cards off market? Is it pack pulls? Earn them through a grind?Team Affinity part 2
Thanks. Cool, looking forward to that.
I assume you'll have to get the Part 1 done first? Dam, I've only got four or five of them in good positions. Dodgers at 70 points, Nats at 68, Rangers and Yanks at 50. A's around 40.
I better get grinding again. -

Just to grind out the innings, and I do CPU play on rookie mode just to blast through it quick. Often when it's my team batting, I'll just walk away and come back 5 minutes later or so once they've all gone backwards Ks (and a few BBs here and there). Or just bunt every pitch to get yourself out quick. If you manage to accidentally get on base, do ridiculous steals to get out.
I don't care about getting all the Ls.Showdown is too hard for me. I've only completed two divisional showdowns, and have put a lot of hours into it. For me, time is better spent on MTO. Veteran mode you should make and win the WS easily enough and get some sweet sweet TA points.

Look, I hate to be "that guy" but these were the easiest things to do so far in this game. And this is coming from a guy who has took 28 attempts to complete the second inning showdown, and 30+ attempts on other showdowns to only complete three others.

I'm finding these moments super easy which is a nice change.
Main stats for batting: Contact R 70 / Contact L 95 / Power R 82 / Power L 69 / Vision 48 -
Standard disclaimer: I'm pretty new to The Show.
I don't understand all the references to Ramone in this chat. Is that some inside joke? An old poster? A dev? -
I wonder if that hurts more than going in 10-15 and managing to lose, coz I’ve done that plenty. Hurts so much.
-
All these “not locking on” complaints I assume are online play?
The times when I’ve dropped routine catches in CPU play (conquest, moments, MTO etc) is when my positioning to the ball has been a bit dodgy. Perhaps not dodgy enough to expect to drop it, but it happens. If your dropping catches enough in these modes, then I reckon if you were honest with yourself you’d admit you’re just not taking a good route to the ball.
I do think there are other issues with fielding, but catching is on you bro. -
Sounds like you didn’t position properly for the catch.
-
I still enjoy it and give it a 7.
I don't play online much though. Hoping to get better in a few months so I am more competitive.FWIW, Red Dead Redemption 2 is the best game I've ever played. I'm pretty new to gaming though.

I’m fairly new to The Show.
Did previous versions release new special packs almost weekly with such terrible odds?
Twice now I’ve purchased the five sets of new headliners packs and the best I pulled was Altuve. That’s 75,000 stubs spent. Such a waste. I know I’m the fool for doing it, but it feels like fools like me are being preyed upon. -
Me again. I finally beat the second inning showdown.
On my 28th attempt. I can't believe how hard I found that one, compared to others who did it first go. -
It's a very small strike zone when pitching in a nutshell

Sometimes takes a while for the packs to appear.
My first few didn't appear for a few hours. The next few were in there straight away. -

Got 4 hits my first game. 2 the next. 3 the next, then dashboarded the last game like twice until I got the final 2 hits. Pretty easily tbh
What do you mean by dashboard? Don't you basically quit and give up on that game if you leave it?
-
Anyone else struggling with this? Seems easy.
I usually get the 4 XBH in the first game, and then can't manage 7 base hits across the final three games. -
What little success I have had, I used the contact hit to get runners on base, and then waited for a slugger to use the normal hit.
-
Lux calls out issues, but he kind of whinges at every bad thing he does saying "the game hates me" so it loses merit.
Gallo is legit good at this game, and also calls out some of the BS errors etc.
I like watching Giolito the best so far.
