Happenned to me a few times and yes I lost 500 stubs each time.... not much we can do about it besides report it like you did... it just sucks and that is a thing that should not happen at this point especially that I never saw that before... I'm not saying it did not happened but it was a first for me....
I'm not a big Showdown person either but, yeah, never seen that before. Hope they get it fixed soon.

It's because it's November, at least for me.
I was home on a rare friday afternoon and spent 3-4 hours playing Train Sim World 3 on the LIRR line instead of baseball. I haven't even started the Finest program yet!
I'm thinking of canceling my Randy order & get Trout instead.Train sim world is on gamepass, hella relaxing, another surprisingly fun game has been the new construction simulator with 4 player co op.
Been playing Train Sim World since TS one. Love that game.

I went to do the final showdown tonight, and I noticed several odd things. Not all the position players were automatically filled in. It also didn’t fill in all the starting pitchers, and it wouldn’t let me even start the first moment without it. And right now it’s been saying setting up moment, please wait, continuously. I don’t think I’m going to be able to play. And it charged me 500 stubs. I’m going to send a support tag to SDS, but I am just alerting anyone that is thinking of playing it to not play it right now. It’s broken.
-
Update: I finally managed to get through it by doing a lot of mixing up pitches, which is usually the case with these moments. I thought I had been doing that but I failed at least a dozen or more times with this one. I finally got lucky I guess.
-
I’m having a ton of trouble with this. Any tips?

@Dookie-Possum_XBL said in Anyone else probably not getting Mantle?:
I play 1-2 hours a day max and 3-5 nights a week. So no, I won’t be getting mantle, Othani or any other cars locked behind “play 500 hours a day” walls.
Same here. And I could rant a lot more about this. I preordered the game and played at least a few hours each day but didn’t do a ton of flipping this year. And I’m really disappointed I won’t be getting Randy, Shohei and Trout. They shouldn’t just go to mainly legend level players.
-
I think it’s easier on my desktop, which I’m not at the moment, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do it on my mobile. Any tips?

Congratulations, Astros. (Go Giants in 2023!)

My wheels are always turning in regards to how this game could be different. Sometimes my ideas are absolute garbage but sometimes they are a gem.
Have you ever considered making live series cards starting out as commons or two levels lower than previous year, at start of year. And based off of how well you do with them is how they progress. But at the same time the said card would have a ceiling based off of roster updates. When that ceiling is reached then it is collectible. Allowing premium type cards to be rolled out into packs?
For instance lets say i had Aaron Judge started off at highest silver and i progressed him to a 95 Diamond but it was only a 92 required to save him into LS Collection. Once i reached 92 i could choose to collect him. Or maybe he is having a bad year and his overall drops to an 84 and i have progressed him to 83 gold at that point, now only one more level then i can save him b/c roster update is now an 84.
This in turn would make it take longer for people to get the LS collection done so the LS cards would be more useful over time and not have LS Collections done on day 2 of games release. Or could also allow the LS Rewards not be revealed until a later date making competitive gameplay more balanced. This would also give staff more time to do other things and only doing roster update once a month?
Open for more discussion, just a brainstorm.
As someone who isn't a Legend level player, I don't like the suggestion about the live cards because it handicaps anyone who doesn't play at a high level. That's not fair at all.
Actually it doesn't handicap b/c it's based on whether you progress it or not and also based on the updates. And you are still getting better players through program and packs that are better than most LS cards already the way it is now.
And if you don't progress, then what? The way I read it you're being penalized for not being a better player. There's already enough of that in the rewards for BR and Events that lowered skilled players have a tough time getting in the first place.

Watching the Willie Mays I brought for 98k Triple in price and wonder will it quadruple
Yeah, I think I bought my Mays Takashi for 93K a few weeks ago and the only reason I did that was because I’m a Giants fan. I really haven’t taken much interest in collecting Takashi carts with the high prices on them. And I’m not sure I need the Ohtani card either. My live series Ohtani has been P5 for a while. I think that’s just fine.

I wish it was 16 instead of 26.

First off, I love this game even at my skill level (I guess I can say it's veteran). Always loved baseball as a kid and this game gives me the closest thing to being on a team and batting. So thank you, SDS. But I have some thoughts for you to consider:
-
Add a little more detail to the instruction area: Two areas of the game that I think plague a lot of us (like they do me) are pinpoint pitching and stealing bases. But the explanation for pinpoint pitching is so quick that it doesn't detail exactly what you need to do to make it work. A couple of sentences that explain exactly how you need to make pinpoint pitching (and maybe the other modes, too, while you're at it) work would really help us to be able to improve our game.
-
One thing on stealing bases that gets me is the indication that you move the left stick toward the base if you want to do individual steals. But how do you do that without interfering with the batter's swing? A little more information on stealing bases might help some of us a lot.
-
Give small amounts of XP for practice, buying packs and Challenge of the Week. On buying packs, it wouldn't have to be a lot ... maybe 5 XP per pack, but it would be a bit of an incentive. On practicing and Challenge of the Week, again, it wouldn't have to be a lot, but it would mean the time invested would have a little more meaning.
-
Maybe hold SDS sales of certain sets of cards (not using players' cards, but game cards) so that everyone can get a better shot at some cards.
-
For those like me that aren't at the highest skill level, it bums me to see the Trout Finest that I have no chance of getting. I'm glad to see they changed BR to make just playing qualify, but it seems like there are various classes of players here. I guess, upon thinking, that probably will never change, but maybe something for the lower rated players would be nice.
-
Finally, please have devs and support a little more available next year. (Heck, if I lived in SD, I'd volunteer!).
Thanks again for the game and all you do. The only other sports game I play is PBA Bowling, but I don't touch that every day like I do this one. This game is a masterwork. So thank you.
-
-
I've complained about this before, but I'd like to see the game stop enabling hitting (and sometimes beaning) pitchers with a batted ball. There's really no need for that. Batters getting hit is one thing. But seeing a pitcher writhing on the ground after being hit in the hit with a ball (as I have) in a game that's supposed to be family friendly is completely unnecessary.
-
My dream WS is anything that doesn't include either the Dodgers or the Yankees. We're halfway there.
-
Will Clark
Barry Bonds
Joe Panik. (seriously!) -
Update: Got Troy Glaus today. I think I need 5 HOF homers for Sheffield. Getting there slowly but surely, I think.
again, thanks for all the suggestions. You guys have really lifted up my confidence that I can play better than I thought I could. So thank you all.
-
Well, here's an update: Today I played two CPU games, one on All-Star and one on HOF. I won both games (needed extra innings for both). Not only that, I hit homers in both - 4 in HOF, 1 in AS. (I need to fill the quotas in both to get Glaus and Sheffield.) I also played both games at the Polo Grounds, as @SaveFarris_PSN suggested. Not sure if that if that's better than playing a high elevation stadium given the smaller porches on the left and right field sides but at least one home run seems inevitable there. I may try the higher elevation stadium the next time I play.
Anyway, thanks for the suggestions. I think I'm on my way now.

HoF homers are easy. Just play at Coors. I hit 5 in one game tonight and should’ve had more. As for HR’s with low power guys, find guys with good swings and pull the ball. Blackmon, Michael Brantley, Lofton, Brujan. It takes time but you’ll get it.
I use one of the high elevation stadiums I built in Stadium Creator. Maybe I should use Coors, though I don't see why there'd be a difference.
