It's a problem when I have to worry about Buxton being thrown out running to third by Lofton and his noodle arm.

I love that everybody thinks that they are just laying back with their feet up ignoring all of it.
I don't think that they communicate with their players nearly enough but I do believe that all these issues are being worked on. The troubleshooting and patching is probably much, much harder now that there are 3 consoles to coordinate everything on.
So if you buy a 2023 car and get it home only to find out that it will only run every other day, the advertised AC doesn’t work and your power windows were a new feature to this model so you gotta wait for a patch for them to function, will you excuse the manufacturer because it took a lot of time to develop the new model?
Funny, those all sound like soon to be Tesla "Premium" features.

I turn pci off. It's less of a distraction. Tried it a couple years ago and haven't looked back. Obviously still use zone hitting. Pci is invisible.
How does that function, though? Does moving the left stick actually do anything in that case? Not sure if I ever read a breakdown on how the result differs from one hitting scheme to another.
Yes it functions exactly the same you just don't have the visual of the PCI on the screen. It is less distracting and more realistic looking in my opinion. You still have to control the PCI with the left stick.
Or just think of it like this:

One of the biggest surprises for me is Prospect M.J. Melendez. I don’t know what it is about his swing but he rakes for me.
Same, I just can't take him out, he just keeps raking!

I didn’t play ‘21 but I remember there was a bug report link on the old site for ‘20. I can’t find any such link on the new website.
Thanks!

@coachpappy17_psn said in NO diamond drops!!!:
Wow, leave for a while and all the trolls come out. I guess I need to be more clear.
1.) I posted here looking for information such as: a, is this happening to anyone else, b is there a problem with whatever technique was used by the programmers to randomize packs (one year I was in 25 fantasy baseball leagues on ESPN and I drafted in the 10 spot in 19 of them - problem with randomization), c, is there something I don't know (maybe I missed where packs from the mystery map don't contain diamonds). This is evident from my 2nd post where I asked "what am I doing wrong"
2.) Another poster felt the need to be sarcastic when posting his perception of how little knowledge I must have of statistics when he posted “Siri, how do odds work?”. I replied that I have a masters degree. I did not post that to make it seem like I am more intelligent than others, but to show that I did in fact have a working knowledge of statistical reasoning. The majority of post graduate degrees include some sort of thesis/paper in which research and statistical reasoning is involved. So regardless of what the field of study is, one could assume that any person with a masters degree probably has a working knowledge of statistics. I am sorry that some may have felt that is was a jab. Definitely was not, I was just trying to show that the the person who posted “Siri, how do odds work?” did know know what they were posting about.
3.) the fact is that although that pack odds are 1/50 for getting a diamond when each individual pack is opened. It is also true that the more packs you open, the probability of getting a diamond increases. There is a formula for this and that is what I used to figure out that if a person was to open 148 packs (where the odds of getting a diamond are 1/50 for each pack) their probability to get at least one diamond in those 148 packs would be 95%. So I am in the unlucky 5%
Yes you are in the unlucky 5% on conditional probability, but it helps to remember that the 2% applies at the highest level, meaning all pack openings across all users.
Your 148 packs is practically nil against the millions of packs that have been opened. And 5% of the total user base is a fairly big number of users.

I had it happen a couple days ago, then nothing for 20 games and now it just happened again. Seems random but still frustrating.

Offline freezes is a new addition. Can't remember what stream it was from.
I believe it was the same stream where they announced CPU dashboarding.

@yankblan_psn said in Fielder and Molitor:
Nothing to do with that; it’s the first year of mew commentary, they’ll had more next year.
It still means they recorded two prospect's names instead of Molitor and Fielder. Second one is hilarious when you consider how many times they would say "fielder" in-game.

@solidsnake222_mlbts said in Why???:
Do people really care about the fashion choices of these players? I personally couldn’t care less what shoes SDS decides to slap on these guys.
If I can't get fined with Brian Wilson's orange shoes what's the point of even playing this game??

God help us if the Royals call up Richard Lovelady
-
I've found he has a long swing, so start earlier on fastballs/sinkers, or wait for offspeed.
-
You can get to CS using directional, but you won't get any further and every so often along the way you'll face someone who absolutely destroys you.

@saintleo14_psn said in How to Rack Up Errors?:
So what is the actual hidden mission? Make c amount of errors and earn a stadium choice pack?
3 errors in one game. Simply throw the ball to the wrong base on a groundout, easy as pie.
Throw sinkers at the bottom of the zone (NOT OFFSPEED) if you want ground balls.

They could spin up an offshore team to handle triage and low level issues for pennies on the dollar and ease the "verification" procedure until all the other issues die down.
That is kind of a sore spot for me as I was let go from my last job after 16 years because they outsourced large chunks of IT support to a "offshore" company.
It worked out OK for me but it still kind of stings.
Yeah man, I had that happen as well, it sucked but it led to better things.

I'd hate to think of the ratio of tickets they have compared to the number of support staff.
It's not an excuse but as someone who worked in IT support most of his working life I know the reality of how understaffed support teams are.
So we are told to expect issues because it happens every year at launch, but the company that makes the game shouldn't expect them and staff accordingly?
Oh, they probably should, but that is usually not what happens.
Oh I hear ya there, I'm seen it all too often as well. But we're talking about virtual cards and currency here, not the nuke codes. They could spin up an offshore team to handle triage and low level issues for pennies on the dollar and ease the "verification" procedure until all the other issues die down. OMG someone lied and got a Trout card for free!

You ( and everybody else doesnt see it or doesnt read it) but there is a banner on the report form that says they will only contact you if they need more info.
Just because they advertise their support policy doesn't mean it's a good one. It also does not preclude someone who has lost actual money from complaining about response times.
what i said has nothing to do with complaining, let alone justified or not.
I said dont expect a response because they tell you,you wont get one unless they need more detailsThat's cool, but I think the OP wouldn't be here complaining if they got their stubs back without any other response.

I haven't tried co-op yet, but I'm interested to know what happens if one player dashboards before the ball lands?
Can we tone cpu outfielders down pls
