<![CDATA[First Event/Multiplayer Game]]>I’m actually still a bit nervous which is ridiculous for a Grandpa nearly 60 years old. I was able to use my A-Team but all Moonshot/Bronze pitchers in The Monster Smash Event and guess what? I WON! I hit 3 Homers and won 3-1. I might have gotten a shutout but I completely misjudged my first chance in the OF and it turned into a triple and the guy immediately scored after a sac fly. Not to nitpick but I only seem to have gotten credit for 2 IP so I believe I need to play one more game to get any reward. Also, it was a little laggy with some batters. I did pause for a minute to check my settings so I hope the guy didn’t think I was cheating. My lousy gameplay probably made that obvious. Ha ha. I did notice one more thing - when it was searching for my opponent, a graphic came on with a yellow meter that showed minimum and maximum rating of what I swore was between 1415 & 1535, or something like that. I’ve never played online before so is that junk? Sorry for the long post. 😀

Many games have some lag so I wouldn’t worry about any of your in game settings. The innings pitched only count if that pitcher completed a full inning, so if your starter went 1.2, then a bullpen arm went 1.1 you’d only get 2 innings counted (silly I know). As far as I know, the rating range in events is more of just finding opponents with a similar record to you. So you won’t find people going 10-0 on their current entry matching someone 0-1.

Just keep enjoying the game for what it is. Some people will be bringing full P5 switch hitter squads, many like me use events to just complete the program or level up some hitters, others will be goofing off with theme teams, etc. Just as long as you are having fun with your roster and feel like you are making progress then keep playing. When it starts to get annoying, take a break. The great thing about events is they are short so even the frustrating games can go by quickly.
