Each year we go through this. The trade deadline is not until August 3... how hard is it to change that from July31??? If you're trying to mimic the real life roster moves this is a KILLER! Why?

But, seriously, I think they just don't feel like messing with the code. Everything is tied into that date. The trade deadline and the draft signing nonsense ('today is a day to sign draft picks!').
