In reality, they could also give him 1B eligibility given his time played there toward the backend of his career in Texas. Either way, I'm looking forward to adding him to my Rangers theme team.

I saw somebody say something about the number of 99 Overall Shortstops, so I took a look

Number of 99s by Position

1B - 8
2B - 8
3B - 8
C - 7
LF - 6
RF - 9
CF - 13

SS - 21

Didn't help that 11 Pipeline players were 99 OVR SS
