<![CDATA[Wow This Mode is Not Like RTTS]]>I have only ever played RTTS but today I decided to try DD. Since I enjoy collecting the cards and building a team, I thought I’d actually try using it and see what DD is all about.

I cannot hit a thing.

I play RTTS on Legend difficulty with contact and power sliders lowered slightly to make it more challenging and my guy’s hitting stats are all at 80 except for plate vision which is 90.

On Diamond Quest I can’t even pass the random challenges which are set on veteran difficulty.

I just cannot time up my players swings with anything, even when I just guess and press the swing button at pitches before I even know what they are it’s still saying I’m very late on the swing and I can’t make contact with any pitch despite the fact most of my players have higher hitting stats than my RTTS player.

I don’t understand why this mode feels so much harder when I’m using better players on a much lower difficulty?

Think I’ll just stick to RTTS 😂

This leaves the 99% of customers who have a healthy comprehension of the difference between life and video games having to wade through a game mode filled with layer after layer of artificial difficulties laid before them to try to silence the clamors of the 1%.

Just takes a little practice.

It’s also why there are certain players in almost every lineup year after year. Swings have matter more than attribute for some time now. The game can still be fun if you don’t focus on tribal things.

If so then I don’t see how anyone is supposed to be good at this mode if you have to memorise every single player’s swings and timings, that’s some next level brain training memory exercise stuff, I just wanna play a video game and have fun man 😂

You use one player compared to a whole lineup.

Lol. Where hitting is extremely difficult for just about everyone. Until you master it. Then even when you master it, you will find yourself yelling at the monitor because the rng will get you half the time.

Offline, RTTS can be set to a "casual" gameplay experience- makes things a fair amount easier. DD is set to "competitive" by default. That's probably why you're struggling.

Switch your offline experience and see if the difficulties suddenly cross over- if they do, you just need to, and I'm sorry- get better. Which would just take more reps, that's all

Even when you start to get your timing down and PCI in the correct spot, you still will find yourself wondering "what else must I do to get a hit?". So, if you're enjoying the game without playing DD, I'd stay away.

I'm too far down this rabbit hole to even stop, so I just keep playing in hopes I can get just a pubic hair better.
