For example the High-A Everett AquaSox and the Hudson Valley Renegades. Along with the Lynchburg Hillcats and the San Jose Giants. This would positively impact the mode by increasing realism, improving player development, and extending career immersion. This would provide a natural stepping stone rather than rushing prospects through the ranks.

But, it should! Want to give the collegiate path more realistic impact? Have players drafted out of high school go to rookie and low A ball, like in real life. Have the college players go to high A or AA, like in real life.

BTW: The latest round of discussions between MLB and MLBPA is that high school players will no longer be eligible for the North American amateur MLB draft. College players will become eligible after their sophomore seasons. So, if this is adopted, and it likely will be, then SDS will be forced to make serious changes to how their version of the draft works.
