Currently playing The Show 25 on PS5, franchise mode. Using directional arrow to designate a specific base, then the corresponding baserunner button. L1 to advance all runners and R1 to return all. My problems; runner on first with 2 outs, the ball is hit, could be a fly ball liner or ground ball, the runner holds the bag. More than 1 runner on with 2 outs, all runners stay put when the ball is hit. I have to keep mashing the L1 to get them to move. I don't remember when the first Show came out, but it's been a problem throughout. Is there another baserunning mode that would help? Currently on assist. Believe me I've tried everything, and apologize if it's already been adressed.

I went from Franchise to playing Ranked Seasons for a while (just to get the Plat trophy back in TS19) and I noticed that in Ranked a single press of the baserunner button didn't select the runner, it had to be twice pressed so I ended up getting into the habit of double tapping the button before the directional arrow.

Maybe that's still happening. I haven't really played online since so I don't know. If you're playing online give the double tap a go.

Yes, I have been doing that with individual baserunners. I just have to be quicker. Thanks for the help.

Auto baserunning is either on or off. I have it off. My post may have been confusing regarding assist baserunning. It may have been an option on earlier MLB the show releases. On assist, the baserunner would at least take the first few steps, then you have control. There does seem to be a delay in getting them to start taking off with auto baserunning off. I just have to be quicker on the trigger. Thanks for the help.

It becomes instinct once you get used to it.

Hopefully this helps.
