I was reaching out with an idea for a revamp of MLB The Show's RTTS mode.<br />
​Storywise and College wise, should a person choose to play college, you should play I think 10 games or 12. Same for HS. I also think you should give us back the ability to create a generational player "after" doing a normal grind player. As in, you get a player that starts with a 60 or 65 overall, and diamond equipment can be used in HS and College all the way through. This keeps people interested.<br />
​On the money-making ability in RTTS: take the "joke" that your salary in RTTS is not real, and make it "real". You earn money in the form of signing a contract (low at first), and it can be converted into "stubs" to buy equipment with. Same with sponsorships. But make it so that this is not possible—or at least not very rewarding—by lowering the difficulty to beginner or amateur. Make this option visible when offline, but locked to online mode if players have Gamepass/PS Plus.<br />
​Instead of playing in a vacuum against the CPU, you could introduce an online mode accessible via Gamepass and PS Plus featuring "RTTS Districts"—private or public custom online leagues based on the majors and current rosters. A player and up to 29 or more other users would control individual created ballplayers scattered across the league on their server.<br />
​This creates a peer-pressure environment and continuous gameplay engagement, which means increased metric revenue for you, Microsoft, and Sony. Contract money can be converted to stubs to buy equipment, build custom stadiums, or buy new animations and skins. Better performance in the mode earns sponsorships and better equipment. ​You keep the offline version where people still make a salary from the "grind," but you don't earn it well in beginner or amateur mode. You can earn stubs offline, but you can't buy anything from the community market unless you are online.<br />
​I think the ratio of salary to stubs (online RTTS only) would need to be like 10:1 or 20:1, or somewhere in-between. A sweet spot for San Diego Studio and the players.<br />
​You can directly monetize the online mode, such as converting your RTTS salary into stubs by charging access to it via a pass in the "in-game shop". The more they buy this pass (aka stay subscribed to Gamepass/PS Plus and buy the conversion pack), the more stubs they earn and get. On lower difficulty modes, introduce a lower salary and less rewarding conversion rates to stubs (like 50:1 or 70:1) unless they want to buy stubs directly.<br />
​No buying equipment with stubs via the community shop unless The Show is online (aka Gamepass or PS Plus is purchased).<br />
