<![CDATA[May Spotlight Lightning Card Opinions]]>Who do you think will be the lightning card for May Spotlight?
Heres some candidates.
Jordan Walker (although he already does have a spotlight card)
Kyle Schwarber
Byron Buxton
Cody Bellinger
Jacob Misiorowski
Aaron Judge
Bryce Harper
Juan Soto
Miguel Andujar
Otto Lopez
Louis Varland

Unfortunately Walker is out of the running even though he does leaf the league in wRC+ for April.

For some of the others we need to remember that the All-Star break will be about 5 weeks after this drop. Several players mentioned are locks for inclusion into the All-Star program or possibly even the all-star collection. Schwarber will most likely get a HR Derby card.

Uncertain at this point wether it will be Schwarber or Harper, could be both but one might defer to the other. Edit: for the HRD.

He’s rated in the 13th-17th percentile for speed, meaning well into the bottom third.

He steal bases because of his running IQ, much like Josh Naylor. He picks his spots very well and takes advantage when he can.

Soto has never been nor will ever be a 5 tool player. He lacks speed, defense, and arm. He’s had great years at the plate, but I don’t think anyone has ever said he’s close to a 5 tool player.

But yeah would like to see a Juan Soto five-tool player lightning card.
