I was playing at Yankee Stadium and hit a Mickey Mantle-ish shot to the upper bowl in right field and it was 440ft.

Two days later I hit one to the lower bowl just a couple degrees to the left and it was 435ft.

Is the home run distance the actual distance traveled or the distance if there were no stands there?

It is not a measured distance, but a calculation.
