<![CDATA[Retired Numbers]]>I'm hesitating buying The Show 26 mainly because of the retired numbers situation. Why is it necessary to put that restriction on the game? In real life, it makes sense. In the game, it doesn't. We pay money to buy the game and can't have our created players wear the number we want them to. I think it's ridiculous and all numbers (including 42) should be released from restriction, at least in Franchise Mode, so that we can make our teams the way we want. This would include having multiple players with the same number if we want to. Until that happens, I probably won't purchase The Show in the future. Maybe someday another gaming company will come along that has more respect for their customers.

A year after 42 was retired and they both retired it per MLB rules. So if his intentions are to create a team from scratch they’d have to also retire 42.
