<![CDATA[Problem with manual control]]>I'm in franchise with colorado and I have every task set to manual but when I made a trade to the giants when it went thru the game automatically designated my pitcher freehand for assignment. Any fix or work around for this issue?

I'm guessing you traded someone not on your 40 man roster or MLB roster for someone who was?

If you did, the game has to put your new addition on the 40 man roster and thus has to kick someone off. I have no idea how the CPU chooses whom gets the shoe, but a guy like Freeland has too much major league service to just get sent down and gets DFA'd instead.

I don't know if there is any kind of fix for this, but I personally take special care to make sure any trades are roster equal. If you're going to pick up a guy on the 40 man, make sure you trade someone to make room.
