<![CDATA[I know this is a long shot but]]>now that the DH is universal (it’s kinda dumb you can still turn it off in franchise tbh), I would love it if we ever got to put assigned DHs in on defense and lose the DH like real teams do to put their backup catcher in, for example. I was watching the Yankee game today and they did it to keep Jazz in after he pinch ran for Stanton and was like ‘wouldn’t that be cool?’

If you pinch hit or pinch run for a DH with a bench player that new guy becomes the DH.
If you move the DH to the field the player from the field is no longer in the game and you will no longer have a dh in the game.
