<p dir="auto">I believe that you can download a retro cap from the vault, and it will specifically tell you if it has zero helmet flaps, which is a glitch. Why SDS doesn't let you do this by default in-game is a mystery. If I remember correctly, you can't edit the player's equipment after you download them, but I could be wrong.</p>
