Why don’t I gain XP after games?

I am on XBOX series X and I have been playing the show for about a week, and for my games played I never earn any XP. I getXP for completing Xbox challenges and stuff but I have never gotten it for just regularly playing, does anybody know how to fix this problem or who I should contact to fix this?
