Any pure analog hitters playing competitively?
-
I've only played analog for both pitching and hitting for the past several years, to me it feels the most tactile and most rewarding when successful -- just pushing a button doesn't feel connected to the gameplay at all. However, I find that as I'm trying to grind the lack of a PCI is probably holding me back since I have no control over where my sweet spot is when hitting.
Any other pure analog hitters out there able to be successful at Legend/HOF or competitive in online play?
Any tips that you can offer to overcome the lack of PCI when in pure analog (I understand that you can choose that as an option but I'm specifically inquiring about those players who have PCI turned off as well)?

Every comp player uses zone.

Pure Analog Stride is the most realistic way of playing the game because it adds an actual motion with the stick to swing. Plus its based on Timing and the fact its basically 50% user skill and 50% player rating gives more realistic results. With pressing an X button and aiming a PCI like its Duck Hunt or a Sniper game, you can master that and it becomes purely user skill. Same with Pitching, Classic yields the best realistic results cause its basically 50% user skill and 50% player rating, but I know the majority of players aren't looking to play a realistic game of baseball and want to play a more arcade relaxed game.

You can sort of influence the PCI using Pure Analog by moving your analog left or right on the swing. Kind of like you’re “going with the pitch. Also a bit of control up and down by timing a bit early or late.
For more/full control of the PCI you gotta go Zone Plus Analog.

Ahhh yes I forgot about this...I've played with analog stride forever that this is all second nature to me...I think I started playing the Show the year analog stride was introduced and its the only hitting I've done since then. But yeah, you can influence where your bat goes slightly withyour follow through swing and swinging a bit early to get those high pitches.
